Jeff Green: Old

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I’m assuming we play the warriors. Luck would never be so kind to the Cavs to grant us the rockets...

So with that being said, I can’t believe I’m relieved we have a guy like Jeff green to go against the warriors.

He’s exactly the kind of role player we badly needed last finals.

Richard Jefferson didn’t have nearly enough juice to hang with Durant. Jeff green can.

I really really think Jeff greens presence on this team gives us a chance against the warriors.

I think our best lineup would be

Love
Green
Lbj
JR
Hill

If the warriors start loney that would be a monster help for us because we could have love guard him.

I see Cavs have Jeff green bring the ball up the court too

Glad we picked this guy up. He’s turning into our Richard Jefferson minus the laughs

What can I say

I’m a truth teller

I love Uncle Jeff. He gets put in bad lineups constantly where he doesn't fit and he just goes to work. Cavs will have to learn on him again next series.

He has earned some leeway from fans . Give him his props

This is a guy on a minimum contract.

We still have too much deadweight salary. George Hill and Tristdashian more days than not, KLove/JR a lot of the time. It's too bad that Wade and DRose and their minimum salaries didn't work out, although they ended up being decent trade chips for the "hard reset."

Houston's undoing was really Ryan Anderson in that regard...GS has had basically no deadweight for years, other than Mr. Carolyn Wozniaki from a few years ago who they were able to salary-dump, and I guess you can count Iguodala now.

This is a great opportunity for Green. Could maybe squeeze a nice contract from another team if he has a big series.

This is a guy on a minimum contract.

Exactly. He has performed FANTASTICALLY well for us this year given that. His only faults relate to the fact that he is being asked to do things outside of his skill set, basically because we have screwed up our roster so badly.

Consider that Jordan Clarkson is making $11 million a year on a long term contract, while Jeff Green is making $2 million on a one year contract.

He reminds me of PJ Brown from the classic Cavs-Celtics Game 7 in 2008. A vet who came on a short 1-year deal, who managed to make an incredible impact on the way to obtaining the NBA Championship. PJ also had 10 points and a clutch basket late into the game.

It's good that we have him for the time being. He's indispensable as a jack-of-all-trades and having the versatility to guard 2-3 of the Warrior's main players. Hope he can continue to bring it, if only a little.
