Jimmy Butler Safari

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
That's not what I remember, and that's not what I've found doing a quick search to rehash the situation. Butler and Hoiberg butted heads, and the Bulls decided to move Butler because he was going to qualify for the DPE. It's basically the Cousins trade.

It was the same problem he has now with the Minny boys. Wade and him fucked up the locker room and had intentionally caused problems and stir with the young players.

Perhaps him not wanting to get traded isn't writen anywhere, but it's not hard to infer that he had issues with the organization. It's known that he had issues even with vets like Noah and Rose. And what do you know, they follow him back to Minny because of Thibs. I guess that was the breaking point for Jimmy.

He has been a trouble maker where ever he has been.

Fuck, man. This makes me want Butler even more!

C'mon Cavs!!!

dude...we had a player ten times better than Butler and you couldn't WAIT for him to leave and cheered his way out of town...so maybe STFU about trading away the only actually loyal near-star we have for a rental of this prima donna Butler, whose only function will be to ensure we lose our first rounder to the Hawks. I mean, you clearly don't care about the Cavs winning anyway so settle in for watching the young guys develop and KLove hitting threes and giving inspiring lectures about mental health.

Great question. We should ask the Bulls front office why it was so hard for them to honor that contract.

If players don't like that they can be traded then perhaps they shouldn't agree to a CBA that allows it?

Butler can request his trade. Hell, he can hold out and lose his pay.

But now his actions yesterday make me not want him under any circumstance. Just comes off whiny.

Yeah, so the no trades idea probably doesn't work because there are situations where trades can benefit both parties. Maybe they fight for no trade clauses built into every contract? Meet in the middle where the player would still have to provide 6-7 places they'd be willing to get traded to? I don't know, just spitballing.

And I wouldn't want Butler either.

Take a joke man. You come and troll a fun thread, and then you get trolled back...and you cry about it?

Go back to ignoring me. It's better for your fragile ego.

Struck a nerve huh?

Jimmy Butler listed 4 teams. Cleveland wasn't one.

So who am I trolling by pointing that FACT out?

Now I'm definitely trolling you by asking about Derrick Williams. Played in China last year btw.

He wanted to be traded. He had caused problems as a Bull as well...you forget that.

Noo... Jimmy Butler did not want to be traded.. Butler lost his DPE eligibility, and his ability to sign a super-max contract by being traded.

Thats part of the contract...put in a no trade clause if you dont want to get traded....

Couldnt. A player has to be in the league at least 8 years and with his current team for at least 4 to qualify.

And that's because of the master CBA that the players themselves negotiated and signed with the owners. Getting the highest possible percentage of revenues obviously meant more to them than giving every player the right to negotiate no trade clauses.

So in the end...it's still the players agreeing to involuntary trades.

Struck a nerve? Nope. You were the one crying about the Jeapardy joke. I simply called it what it was: you being a puss and not taking a joke.

And dude, I'm wrong all the time. I'm here to bullshit about fan stuff. I've never claimed otherwise. I don't even remember what I said about DW lol

Stop being the pot calling the kettle black. I just don't give a fuck.

You take this shit way too seriously.

You act like what we think or write here has some existential purpose. I'm here to bullshit and have fun. I argue and dispute things just for the hell of it. It's not like we're debating how to cure cancer.

I'm wrong all the time. Calling me out on it does not bother me at all.

Honest question: if we are wrong or right on any of the crazy things that we discuss...why does it matter?

Answer: it doesn't. Chill out man.

The practice, Woj’s tweets, Rachel Nichols clearing her schedule to be in Minnesota, Shams player meeting tweet fed to him by Jimmy or his agent followed by Teague’s denial then Butler re-confirming the meeting seems a bit more staged than any Reality TV show I’ve ever seen.
