I saw an article saying that Sexton would travel to Salt Lake and Vegas with the summer league team to practice but I think it said that they haven't decided yet if he will play. I can't seem to find the article now, it was from a couple weeks ago.
It would be stupid if he played.

Where have you seen this? Haven’t seen any report.
It's hasn't been confirmed yet the last I heard. Just assumed he wouldn't be on the staff. His contract was up he wasn't fired iirc.

So the staff so far is Beilein, Bickerstaff and now Gotlieb?

He’s still listed on the team site. Longabardi, posey and JB are the only assistants right now until they add Lindsay. So they’ve updated it since the end of the season to take other names off but haven’t taken him off.

Everyone saying Longabardi is gone I hope are right. On the teams official website hes still listed as an assistant. The page has been updated because it shows Beilein as the HC, Bickerstaff as the associate HC. Still lists Posey and Longabardi as Assistant Coaches.

He's not gone at least as far as the media is concerned:

"Cleveland hired Beilein away from the University of Michigan last month, and Gottlieb will join a staff that also includes associate head coach J.B. Bickerstaff and holdover assistants James Posey, Mike Longabardi, Dan Geriot and Mike Gerrity."

Longabardi was usually the one working with Sexton during pregame warm ups and videos we saw during practice. Maybe he takes on a role of helping guys add to their game or work on their mechanics vs running the defense going forward if they keep him.

Also I think the Cavs seem to keep the staff listed as on the team until their contract officially ends which is usually at the end of the league year, June 30th.
