John Wall

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I disagree. I don't think Kyrie has ever had a season as good as the one John Wall just put in.

Kyrie put up career lows in TS%, EFG%, 3pt%, and PER. All of his career lows are better than John Wall's career highs. Steal rate, rebound rate, and block rate are all within fractions of a point. Wall's turnover rate this year would be the worst of Kyrie's career. John Wall has him beat on assists, but his offense afforded him the opportunity for 17.2 assists per game, while Kyrie only saw 11.7 such opportunities, so Kyrie was actually better at taking advantage of what the defense gave him.

Of Top 10 guards by PER, only one was less efficient than Kyrie's worst year... That'd be John Wall..

Look, I'm not knocking the kid. He's got skills. But this "Wall is better than Irving" shit is just that.. shit...

Yes, he is a better defender, and yes, he has better court vision. Guess what, so does Mike Conley, and a quite a few other guards in the NBA. It doesn't mean they are better or more valuable than Irving who's coming off his worst year as a pro.

Irving now is marginally better than Wall. However, Irving projects to be much better than Wall.

Efficiency wise vs opponent Wall had a great Season.
W-L-T Efficiency
Kyrie was 30-32-5 in efficiency difference
Chris Paul 49-9-4
Stephen Curry 57-16-3
Russell Westbrook 23-16-2
Kyle Lowry 50-26-3
John Wall 58-20-5
Goran Dragic 41-23-5
Ty Lawson 33-22-6
Damian Lilliard 30-39-12
Isaiah Thomas 33-27-7
Kemba Walker 37-28-6
Eric Bledsoe 22-13-4
Deron William 29-22-9
Mike Conley 43-25-4
Efficiency wise . Wall had a great season..He won most of his matchups but the key for Wall will be maintaining that level.

Somtimes you have Guards that come out the gate playing both sides of the court and you have your Pauls, Curry's and Westbrooks( westbrook was injures this season the previous three season he wass winning 50+ of his matchups efficiency wise dominating their opponents from the outset.

Some players take time developing their game on both sides of the court like Conley, Lowry, Wall,

Some guys just hit the power stats so well they inherently win their efficiency matchups even if they dont play both sides of the ball aka James Harden 47-17-10

Has Wall learned to win? yes.

Does he deserve any more props than Kyle Lowry? not at this point.

Wall and Kyrie still need to make a name for themselves in the playoffs.

but I dont think wall actually playing to his talent and not shooting himself in the foot for a season makes him a superstar carrying his team to wins. nor do i think he is outshining his teammates.

i still dont see why a young guy with another team having a succesful season turns into a condemnation of our own point guard at a different stage of development.

Yea.... John Wall is good
