So Long Jordan Clarkson ( aka Chucky McJumperson)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
You forgot JR...

JR's different. He's sort of an idiot savant. He's showed us on numerous occasions that sometimes this brain thing that everyone talks about so much just sorta gets in the way when you got a beautiful stroke and a mean streak. Not sure Clarkson has the stroke or the streak necessary to do what JR does. And yeah. JR would have probably been a better player if he had a brain, but then again, maybe he would have over thought things.

Yeah, JR is your classic example of ADD intelligence. When he's bought in and focused, he had the potential to be a flame-throwing 2 way player. But when he is distracted and careless, he's one of the stupidest players out there.

I think JR is smart WHEN he actually focues and gives a shit, but when he's smoking too much herb and not giving a shit...then he looks worse than Clarkson.

Is there anyone in the league with cap space that would be willing to take on Clarkson for nothing? I'm talking a top-55 protected pick nothing.

Clarkson is a terrific trying to look like your trying to win Tank Commander. I mean you can't really question the dude's heart, the Tiger Blood, the Mamba mentality. You can question the rest of the game but in his mind if your named Jordan well you gotta to be good

Is there a shot that this kid doesn't like. It's a shame cause he has talent but he thinks he's a one man show.

I'm surprised at the hate for this kid tbh. The Cavs need players like Clarkson who can create and get buckets , there is no reason at all why he shouldn't be featured more in this offense not less.

Lol this cant be real.

He's a classic chucker. The ball touches his hands and there's a better than 50% chance its not being passed again. Makes him very easy to play against.

He is who he is and we let the Lakers off the hook. Guys like that don’t suddenly become cerebral player who make their teammates better. A bounce pass to a big or a lob when met with a double is how a winning player plays instead of faking the pass to take a fall away push shot falling out of bounds. The Kobe system but with substantially less talent and awareness.

I hope he gets a ton of minutes so we can get a playoff team with a weak bench to panic and surrender a pick for his empty stats.

Every team has a chucker that plays off the bench and at times can get really hot and score 8-10 pts in a couple mins. Clarkson is no different. For the year he’ll score 13-14 pts on 42-45% shooting. He’ll finish in the top 5 in 6th man of the year voting. I too don’t understand the hate towards him. The sooner you guys understand what he brings the better.

I'm not a fan of his game, but he at least gives max effort all the time even if he doesn't play smart.

JR was also considered a chucker for most of his career, but he had earned the respect of James for his fearlessness in taking hard shots. He was useful during the run for the ring, his last series notwithstanding..

I think Clarkson has room to grow, and I think he challenges himself to get better. That is useful. But to be a real factor in wins he will need to improve on assists, which we were sorely lacking in the Toronto game.

And about that high motion offense.. I think it generated a lot of trips to the paint, which actually kept us in the game more than otherwise.. it seems to me that it's not a terrible strategy if you are playing with a constellation of lesser stars.. BUT, it needs better defense to work. I think that is the true test of Lue, can he get this band of misfits to play cohesive defense ?
