Jose Calderon signs with Pistons

Do Not Sell My Personal Information

One of the nastiest swats I've ever seen. Calderon should have been put on the DL after that, with a severe ball-sac injury.

I've seen a lot of blanket criticism of the Jose Calderon acquisition, wondering why we bothered, etc.etc.etc.

Watching Lebron's press conference it struck me that LEBRON wanted Calderon. He didn't want a repeat of the backup point guard shit show we had last season and I would wager if you asked Lebron he'd say he thinks Calderon is a solid and reliable veteran presence he thought was important to have available versus the black hole we had there last season.

Now Calderon may or may not be expendable depending on the status of all our other guards. But, to those who question bringing in Calderon, I would say ask Lebron about it, because I think that was an early move made to appease Lebron's concerns.

I haven't seen that opinion voiced around here, only the usual bashing.

Calderon is that dude at the gym who always wants to be on the "skins" team and gets really sweaty and plays lockdown off-ball defense and you just want to push him off you but that would require touching his sweaty pelt and you realize you're really in a lose-lose situation.

I think the number 81 represents how many chicks he has banged since signing with the Cavs..

Calderon spelled backwards is Noredlac which is Swahili for doggy style

So is Zohan based on him or what?

IMO the Cavs would be foolish to consider cutting Jose, and I highly doubt that it's even on their radar. They brought him here for a reason. He's a reliable, veteran PG who can shoot the three and won't play like a total idiot. Rose can do some things but he can't shoot threes for shit, and IT is hurt for awhile. And forget Felder. We need Jose. I think people are definitely underestimating what he can add and forgetting that he's important depth on this team.

Now if we could trade for Bledsoe that'd be one thing, but until that happens - Jose is important. If Rose tears his knee up 3 weeks into the season, we are going to need Calderon big time.

Definitely gonna need Jose if one of our point guards gets bird flu or pregnant or something.

He's not going to play much, as long as guys are healthy. He's third string.

5 assists, 1 turnover.

Tied for team lead in assists.

He doesn't turn it over much. That's one thing he actually is good at.

His defense is really bad though.

Idk. That 15th spot is a weird decision.

It's an easy decision. One guy, RJ, could play spot minutes in a potential finals. The other guy, Calderon, can't. Done. Let's just cut this guy and move on.

I don't think we would cut Calderon.

We will most likely trade Shump for something and end up with this 15-man roster.

1. LeBron.
2. Love.
3. Crowder.
4. IT.
5. Rose.
6. Wade.
7. JR.
8. TT.
9. Korver.
10. Green.
11. Zizic.
12. Osman.
13. Frye.
14. RJ.
15. Calderon.

Though his follow-through is impeccable, even in the blocked shots, you gotta give him that.
