Jose Calderon will be a part of the Cavaliers' rotation in the playoffs, running backup point guard so Jordan Clarkson can play off the ball, coach Tyronn Lue said.
"He's been great for us all year," Lue said. "I think just a steady point guard, can shoot the basketball, can run pick and roll. He's not a bad defender either at that age. He's played well for us. When he's on the floor, good things happen, so when the playoffs come we've got to try to find a way to get him on the floor."

Jose Calderon started 32 games for the Cavaliers this season.

The Cavaliers were 23-9 in those contests. When Jose started AND scored 10+ points, the Cavaliers were 6-1.

I don't think he should start in the playoffs, because a healthy George Hill does everything Jose does with superior defense, but Jose definitely has a bench role on this team this postseason and I'll be extremely pissed if he gets phased out.

Proud and happy to admit all of the crow I've eaten on him all season, regardless of what he does in the playoffs. Guy already exceeded my wildest expectations.

So... can we talk about Calderon being +11, playing great D and hitting two timely 3s? Most importantly, he was out there playing with energy and emotion.

I don't dislike George Hill, but I just don't get the same vibe from him as I do from Jose. Besides, if we're basically going to get the same statistical production out of both of them, I'd rather stick with the guy who can actually make the wide open 3 when his number is called, instead of the guy who was leading the league in 3PT %, came to Cleveland, and suddenly couldn't make a doggone shot.
