I don't have any sympathy at all. For any athlete that fucks up with drugs, guns, beating/fighting people, spending all of their money, etc. The list can go on and on.

You have/had a chance that pretty much every boy dreams of (making a professional team) and you can't keep clean for a 5-10 year span? YOU fucked this up on yourself. Whether or not you agree with the weed policy laid out by the NFL, it's currently the rules. You live by them until they change.

As long as he doesn't move to Cbus and work at the Chick-fil-A I go to and ruin that great atmosphere, then I am fine.

Go get a job, stop begging for money like an undeserving child, show you are trying, stop doing shit, and keep trying to get back in. He is still only 26 - Julio Jones is 28. He still has a lot of game left in him, as long as he can follow the rules and keep training.

That's about as much sympathy as I have.
 
Couldn't he get a gig in the CFL? Do they have a policy about taking suspended NFL players? I'm guessing he'd like to have an 'out' to allow him to rejoin the NFL if reinstated, which would probably preclude some teams from signing him, but if he really needs money and wants to prove he can play and stay clean....

But apparently the money is quite awful up there, comparatively speaking. The TEAM salary cap in the CFL is $5.15 million and the minimum salary is $53,000.

Not gonna reach him for comment when he can't afford a pay as you go phone. Send him a written inquiry or a smoke signal -- from blunt smoke. He will discuss whatever the press wants, I'm sure.
