JR Smith

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I would rather he sit for the rest of the series, as we've got LeBron, Shump, RJ and even Derrick to take turns guarding him. Hope it's just tight and nothing more because I'm concerned about his mental state as the past 6 months have been difficult for him personally and professionally.

In practice interview today, JR said:

* He had an MRI on the hamstring. It showed bruising but no major damage
* He went through full practice today
* Lue said that they will see how JR feels tomorrow (if he's sore after practice)

Sounds like JR may be a game-time decision tomorrow night

No need to risk it. NO NEED TO RISK IT!!!!
Agree. I think JR wants to help the team and feels he has something to prove. But that's when poor judgment can do you in... it's on the training staff, coach TL (and even LBJ) to protect him from himself.

Let him play if the leg is fine, he needs to get his form back and get used to playing with Krover as well.

We dont have the freedom to rest players for no reason now, playoffs have started and the team still looks very beatable against a 7th seed.

I rather let him rest up and heal honestly. We are going to need Jr to be as healthy as possible as we get into the later rounds. I can't help but think of what happened when we brought Korver back early only for him to sit out more games.

Agreed think we should rest him, not push him

Can't say he looked locked in the whole time, but the good thing is that he didn't look injured. That sweet assist to Frye was worth playing him tonight.

Dude's got a great attitude. Sitting on the bench late in the game screaming his ass off when Korver hit that three. He's a good teammate - at least on this team.

Encouraging game. Coming back after a rough rough rough game 2. Was great in the second half.

And again....great things happen when he puts it on the floor. Teams guard him with their weaker defenders, and guys really do just let him penetrate because they aren't expecting it and would rather him not shoot threes. It's a great 2nd/third option for a play for Jr to drive&kick if they shut down the first one or two things we try to do. That was great offense when he did that and got Frye that three. JR is an under rated playmaker off the bounce. I want to see more of it. He used that ability to get himself shots in game 7 and made them to get us back in it. He used it a lot to win 6th man of the year and help the Knicks be really good that year and he did a lot of it in Denver too. I just wanna see more of it.

Also happy for him that his daughter seems to be doing a lot better.

I could assure this guy will do that in the finals

No regard for intelligence
