JR Smith

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I actually thought JR did well against Indiana lol.

His passing and defense was really good. And his shooting looked more like Old JR.

If we can get that JR on a nightly basis and he can make some threes(which we know he is capable of), that’d be a giant upgrade over what we’ve gotten from him this year. We’ll see. He has to start bringing positive play on a nightly basis instead of once every week or two, though.

Are there any internal trade talks including JR or is he basically off limits because of LeBron?

The problem is that everyone knew J.R.'s issues before he came here, and the consensus was that it was this overall environment that mitigated those issues. But if you traded for him, and took him out of the environment that "worked" for him, teams might think they'd be getting "bad" J.R. in a trade.

I don’t think anyone is 100% safe but I’d expect Shumpert/Frye to be the salary filler in any trade and not JR.

Damn. I really wish we would have kept RJ and then Frye or at least kept them together in a trade somewhere. But oh well...

I keep thinking as guys go directly to the basket that we need a guy to guard pgs like Shump can.

If he drives one time against the Warriors with Draymond out there I want him traded by halftime. Every time he drives it starts a fastbreak

No one wanted Jr when we got him off the Knicks, why would anyone want an older less motivated version

Come summer he’ll basically be $14 million dollar expiring contract so teams looking ahead to 2019 free agency may be interested in swapping longer term money for his deal.

But right now he’s nothing more than salary filler. Which is why he won’t be traded because the Cavs still believe he can turn things around.

I mean... how is this guy still getting so many minutes? I can't understand.

He's been literally worst starter in the league material and nothing changes. The sample size is big enough.

Lue is going to ride this ship with JR starting and getting a ton of minutes until he’s out of a job. It’s absolutely bizarre.

We’re past the point of trying to give him confidence...he’s the worst starting SG in the league. And it’s not getting better.

JR is the worst starter in the NBA. Wade put his pride aside and said he wanted to be benched. It's time JR returned the favor.
