JR Smith

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The league is going to fine him for the Supreme logo on his leg? Why can you have a Mickey Mouse Tattoo?

I'm surprised the league made a point about it. JR wears long socks with his knee guards so he basically covers his legs all the time.

I think it's a good decision by the league. I wouldn't want the players to start using their bodies as billboards for money. Those ugly patches on the jerseys are enough as it is :)

He apparently scolded some of the younger players for not showing up early enough before practice and for not responding to the training staff in regards to appointments.
Genuinely surprised.

You know Supreme is like this omnipresent cultural thing right? Also, plenty of players have the Jordan logo and Nike Swoosh on them. JR isn't getting paid for it...

Also, who cares if a player chooses to become a walking billboard? It's their body. They can tattoo whatever they want on it.

Yeah maybe if it was obscene or pornographic, but this seems like policing the players bodies themselves, which is a slippery slope.

If its obscene or pornographic, you might have a case because it might be against the law?

Otherwise, have at it, I say.

Yeah I'm sure it is the sponsors that have a problem with it. JR thinks the league is against him, which I think is prob true.

I'm sure he is tradeable, but maybe not until the Cavs foot the bill for most of this years contract.
JR definitely has value. Everyone knows he plays well with a new contract looming. Add to that the fact that he's an expiring contract, and we'll have no problem getting value in return.
