JR Smith

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
JR definitely has value. Everyone knows he plays well with a new contract looming. Add to that the fact that he's an expiring contract, and we'll have no problem getting value in return.

Do you care to make a wager on that? No one is giving up value for JR. That is patently absurd. He was basically out of the league before LeBron came and saved him. Cavs didn't even want to pay him, LeBron insisted on it. He wouldn't get squat on the free agent market.

Yes. I'd be willing to bet that JR is either (1) traded as part of an overall package that brings back multiple assets, or that he (2) brings back another young player OR a 2nd round pick.

A healthy JR still has value when you consider the value of his contract as well.

Ok consider it done. What shall be the terms of the bet.

Tyronn Lue thinks JR Smith has had a “great attitude” in training camp.

The 33-year-old guard struggled with the Cavaliers last season and his spot in the team’s rotation is reportedly in jeopardy. But, Lue said Tuesday he has been impressed with Smith so far this preseason.

“His body of work speaks for itself," Lue said (via Cleveland.com). "He's a veteran who helped us win a championship two years ago. … He's taken on that veteran leadership role of telling the young guys how it is and what they're supposed to be doing. He's been leading by example."

Lue said Smith reported to training camp “15 pounds” lighter.

We *all* know JR is insanely gifted. The man has the ability to pretty much do everything on the court. I think it was last off-season where Enes Kanter stated the guy he thought was having an amazing summer was JR Smith. (sadly, it didn't translate to a tremendous regular season)

All of this to say, as long as he's on our team, I want him out there this season ONLY in situational circumstances. The days of needlessly tossing JR out there for 30 minutes are over. He will be moved if someone can deal with the JR'ism's he WILL exhibit. The man at times can be electric and a top tier player. It just seems those days get fewer and fewer and his quirks get greater and greater.

That was a pansy move by Smart to come up from behind and push JR when JR was having an altercation with someone else. What a 'tough guy'

That ref did a horrible job with JR. JR was clearly backing up and the guy wouldn't let go of him.
