I think fan voting would work fine if there were some qualifications to get on the ballot.. Like an All-Star Game primary of sorts.. :chuckle: You need to meet these conditions by this date and the NBA will put you on the ballot.

It would keep "undeserving" players from playing.

It's cool if the players are truly voting, and not just going for friends or teammates. But who are we kidding, that's what fans do anyway.

Odd thing Windy mentioned in his article: Zaza finished 10th among media and 12th among players. Fucking how? There are at least 20 frontcourt players in the West better than him, probably more.

People joining in on the meme, obviously.

Porzingis averages 21 and 11?

I call major bullshit if he's an Allstar over Love. Major!!!

If he was the focus of their offense as he should be, he'd be a top 10 player in the league.

I guess I need to see a decent argument as to why Love, and not LeBron, should be the focus of the offense. Hasn't LeBron been the far better, more efficient, higher volume scorer throughout his career? Wouldn't it only make sense to make that guy, the guy who scores more, more efficiently, in more diverse ways, the focus of the offense?

I think he means Porzingis should be the focus of the Knicks offense.

Kyrie ranked #1 among the players.... Kevin Love ranked #7... Both having equally great seasons.

I think this has a lot to do with who the players feel is more dangerous on the court; from a purely basketball standpoint, who is the more dangerous threat. I don't think they really care about the stat lines when making these decisions.

Curious to hear opinions on this?

Not sure if it's makes a huge difference but Kyrie was voted the number one guard by the players. Less players and no LeBron in that category

Love was voted #7 amongst the F/C category by the players. More players than in the guard pool and LeBron in that category.

That said, I do believe Love should have been slotted 5, ahead of the two Knicks

I do think that's the primary way they vote, and I like that.

But then, how in the holy hell does CJ McCollum get ranked ahead of Chris Paul?

I guess you can say that.

But isn't Love technically a 3rd option here? LeBron and Kyrie both get their's and some. So 21 and 11 as a 3rd option isn't anything to overlook. That's pretty damn stellar and efficient.

I hope Love is an Allstar or else the Cavs stay as the only dominate team to never get 3 Allstars.

I'd be shocked if he wasn't named a Reserve.

They'd also have to pick Porzingas AND PG ahead of him. I don't see how that happens.

Just a couple more names. Whiteside and Millsap.

I do not feel confident about this at all. Think Love is greatly undervalued by pretty much everyone.

I agree that Kevin is deserving and should get in. It's robbery if he doesn't.

I'm just saying, Kristaps is fantastic. I wish he was on our team.
