Easy schedule in the next two weeks. Rest Love, he's struggled all month and we need him healthy for the playoffs.

We were getting obliterated on the offensive glass and the PnR game as the Spurs stayed big when we tried to go to small. Since we literally just have 3 bigs in Love, Frye, and TT - Lue was going to use him if he was available particularly when you saw how the game played out. Korver is so useless on defense or on the glass

Looked pretty evident that Love's back is a concern at the moment.

Believe he was 1-for-6 on corner threes tonight, and that pretty much destroyed the Cavs offensively.

Didn't see many long passes by Love. Didn't see him crash the glass and be aggressive, either. You could just tell he was a few steps behind.

If it helps, I rest him for a week. Standings don't matter for this team. What matters is health, and right now Love is dealing with a bad back.

Sent from my Galaxy Edge. Don't forget that the Golden State Warriors blew a 3-1 lead in the NBA Finals.

Love shooting .322/.267 last 8 games. Absolutely putrid. It's not just because of the last injury too.

All of this is caused by a #$%#$ing fish?!

A bad back food illness causes you to lose the ability to make shots

Dude simply isn't shooting the ball well. Hopefully he bounces back, we obviously need all the help we can get.

A bad back is a serious problem when it comes to shooting.

Wouldn't be surprised if it's been an issue longer than we've been aware.

If he's not 100% why play him? Spurs exploited him in the pick n roll.. Abused him on the glass.. The lack of bigmen will bite the cavs but they need to rest love to regain his form...

He couldn't knock down those shots in the fourth which would have changed the game and has been bad since the illnes.

BUT, he was still +26 on court (there have only been 6 instances of players at +20 or higher against the Spurs this year, 4 of them Clippers in one game). In addition, something that's astonishing but may be the reason Lue plays Love by himself: in 90 minutes of action, the Cavs are +17.9 per 100 possessions with Love on court and James and Kyrie off court (that will go up after this game to nearly +19 per 100) which is crazy.

We've been getting the old Love lately and it kills the offense. Idk how much of it is the illness or injury but he's gonna have to get it together. Sit his ass until he's 100% healthy because when he's hurt he doesn't help the team at all.

He's already not the most athletic dude but when his back is hurt he turns into an old man. We don't stand a chance against the Dubs this year unless Love can step up. They got Durant but the Cavs won last year without Love being a factor besides that final stop. If we get that same Love it doesn't matter if Bron and Kyrie do what they did the last 3 games for 7 games. It's a wrap unless Love can step up.

The Spurs were just leaving him open and for a player of Loves caliber that's embarrassing to not make them pay.

My bigger concern is the long term implication of all of this. This is the third straight season we've had back problems cripple his play for what looks to be a sizable portion of the season.

FWIW Im also not sure how serious an issue it is. Our FO and coaches have always shown a willingness to rest our stars for the slightest injuries. Baffles me to think we would keep sending Kevin out there to further aggravate a back issue with no regards for his long term health.

This has been an ongoing pattern with love for the past 2 years.. Start out hot in november to january then gets dinged then plays poorly the rest of the year with some games of brilliance here and there.. We need him to step up and be healthy in the playoffs.. Might as well rest him until all star break..
