Its not that.

Its that LeBron is even more dominant at PF.

However, since Crowder is having such a difficult transition on this team maybe he needs to come off the bench instead. Maybe he's one of those guys that is better off backing up LeBron instead of playing with him.

Right now seeing what Zizic is as a starter > what Crowder's doing right now.
I honestly do think Love needs to eventually come off the bench. LeBron is at his best at the 4.
*Edit I thought you meant Love.

Why are people surprised really? Against Milwaukee he was matched up against Thon.. easy matchup inside, can push him in post up situations, dominate him on the boards and what not. But everytime he is matched up against a legit C (Capella isn't that strong either) he is going to more of stretch 5.

Playing him at the 5 just makes zero sense. League is trending towards small ball 4 and so putting Love at the 4 with a legit C next to him is the only way to go. He can punish smaller 4's inside, he isn't as involved in the PnR because small ball 4's are less involved in PnR situations and he can be dominant on the boards.

Even when you put him at the 5, it's not like he is drawing the Center away from the basket. When he screens he doesn't pop and when he rolls he is just too small of a target and doesn't collapse the defense like a big lob target would.. so the C is almost always in position. We have no other screeners or should I say players willing to screen on the ball other than him in the starting lineup to make it a worthwhile investment on the offensive end.

Just put him next to a real center that has atleast the mid range shot and see how he suddenly looks slightly more dominant and better. You put him next to Tristan and Tristan's man helps off of him when Love posts up and make him make tough decisions that usualyl result in a TO.. Offensively and Defensively they are just not ideal

We have 0 big man to big man game. It's time to put a decent center next to him. I'd say that Zizic has the potential to be one, but it looks like the Cavs have different plans.

Thank you ... Thank you ... Thank you
It really is very simple - he is not a center (and neither is TT) They need to go and get one or have tough match ups. We will continue to struggle against teams that have a real center!!!

TT is absolutely a center. He’s just a small center.

I'd move him for DMC rather than the BKN pick. Avoid the defensive disaster that's going to be IT+Love in the same lineup against GS.

I think everyone would. But New Orleans wouldn’t.
Is Love so poorly thought of that he can't bring back a 6 month rental? The pick is a huge overpay imo. Unfortunately for us, every one of our trade partners over the coming months is going to feel entitled to it.

Yes he is. Indiana didn’t want him for PG and both Phoenix and Denver wanted to find 3rd teams for him.

So the answer is Zizic? I want him to get playing time too but to rely on a rookie C to be a starter on a supposed championship team? I don't know about that. Risky very risky.

No one is going to rely on him. He is just going to play hard, block shots and penetration, set hard screens and finish inside... only for 8 minutes a half to set the tone defensively.

He is going to have a similar role to Zaza, but I think at this point he is a tad better other than passing. Once IT gets back we are going to need a huge help inside. Why not give him a chance now? him being a rookie is an excuse.

He doesn't have to do a lot to be a net positive with Lebron James on the floor.

You have to Try Zizic at this point. I believe Kevin and he has 0 minutes together.

Three teams who aren't actively trying to win ball games.

A 28 year old player on a max Contract under the lower cap isn't enticing to teams trying to bottom out and acquire young players and/or draft picks.

A Team that's trying to compete, such as NO, would have to consider a DMC-Love swap rather than losing Cousins outright or for strictly young players and mid lottery picks.. Because, if they lose Cousins, without getting a star level player and/or a top 2-3 pick, the clock for AD wanting out will begin. With a player like Love they would still have a small chance of competing, and convincing AD to stay.

Unbelievable - from what I understand from this site - Love has no value at all - Crowder is a bum - Shumpert/TT/Frye/Caulderon can be given away. Lue is the worse coach in the league. Rose and Wade are to friggin old. TT's problem is Khloe. Blatt was a better coach. JR will be alright -- LeBron is leaving.

If all of this is true, we absolutely should hold on to the Brooklyn pick so we could have the #1 & #2 picks in the next draft, because from what I read there are no decent players on this team except for Zizic & Cedi. *LeBron doesn't count because he is leaving. **IT will never be the same according to the doctors on here.
