Not sure what the wizards trading years for their second rounder does really.
It saves them nearly $5 million in luxury tax. That team needs to start shedding salary in the worst way and that isn't a bad start. As an added bonus they can re-sign Dekker if they want to because they'll have his bird rights.

So is the 2022 wizards pick more valuable than the 2021? Walls contract extends to 2023

Also there are reports that the pelicans are interested in JR. Who do you think they would trade us for him?

I'll readily confess to not possessing the most pick acumen on the board, but there's some sense in that. I don't believe that Wall plays out his contract in Washington though and even if he does, the Wizards suck regardless.

I'd take a box of Triscuits and a bicycle horn. Oh, and any pick will do. But I'm still holding firm to a Houston deal.

Houston definitely seems like the more logical path. I looked at the salaries and stats for the Pelcians and it didn't jump out at me who they would trade. Knight has upside while anyone the Pelicans give up really won't.

I looked into the wizards more, both Porter and Beals deals are up in the summer of 2021. 2022 looks more favorable to get a second round pick since they might blow up the whole squad by then.

One of the second round picks is essentially a pick swap. We traded the wizards back their 2021 second rounder for their 2022 second round pick. I think it was important for the Bucks to get center depth back which they got with Jason Smith. Not sure what the wizards trading years for their second rounder does really. It at least shows those second round picks helps get trades done.

We have got a protected 1st round pick and three 2nd round picks from the Korver and Hill deals. A good start to rebuilding our chest of assets and should make Kobys job easier at the trade deadline.

Thanks for clearing that up!

My guess is they see Middleton as a guy that could be a star if he got out of the shadow of Giannis. I'm not sure the Bucks will want to give Middleton a max contract which might also be why they will target him.
Yes the Cavs will have to aquire players who are perhaps not top stars but also in these types of situations..sitting behind a star waiting to play.

Koby might have a chance to get Kelly Oubre if we can figure out a way to help this mess of an Ariza trade. There might be alot of unhappy players in the morning that will want out of the team that almost traded them.

Anthony Davis. Kelly Oubrey is cool. He paints and is very talented.

With the AD trade going full throttle, I hope Koby can use his Griffin connection to maximize JR's trade value as a 3rd team to make the salaries work...

Griff might be looking to dump the contract of Solomon Hill and Koby would probably be more than happy to oblige if Griff wants to throw him a bone

Unless the Celtics show a willingness to include Tatum in trade talks, which appears unlikely, I actually think the Knicks have the best package of young talent & picks to offer for AD. The Lakers would be second then the Clippers IMO. The Nets just traded their 1st round pick and Russell is unsigned, so they don’t seem to have much to offer.
