I really believe Kyrie is upset that it was not that big of a deal he left. Some even say we are better off with the depth we got. His little feelings got hurt, so know he needs to trash Cleveland just to get them upset about it. He needs attention.
Well, that doesn't sound very much woke.

Kyrie has no excuse not to lead the Celtics to a better record than they had last year. He has another star beside him in Hayward, a fringe star in Horford, lots of talented young players, and a great coach. Moreover, the East is straight trash this year. And yet somehow I wouldn't be the least bit surprised at the end of the season if the Celtics underachieved. Mostly because Kyrie has too many holes in his game to be the best player on a true contender.

Really don't like the comments from the kid, but, I think his quote means something different than how it's being portrayed (not that it's any better).

Kyrie is saying that Boston is a better place to live, in that, it's a "real live (sports) city." He goes on about the "food" and "culture" and compares the nightlife between the two cities.

I personally hate Boston, wouldn't ever live there for shit; and I prefer Cleveland. But that being said, I'm not a millionaire 20-something basketball icon; although both Kyrie and myself love White girls with a booty, so, Boston does have that to offer I'm sure.

What I dislike is the fact that he felt it necessary to shit on Cleveland, rather than simply keeping the opinion to himself. An opinion that, I can understand, being that I've moved out of Cleveland and would not choose to return for reasons relating to "food," "culture," nightlife, etc... I get what he's saying -- but that doesn't mean it needed to be said.

It's just not the right time or place unless his specific goal was to put his name in the papers.
Agreed...

It also wouldn't surprise me if the motive is to throw shade at LeBron, who constantly talks about how great Cleveland is - even if he does leave again.

Can you imagine the psychological abuse those girls get.

Girl: Hey Kyrie, look at my big round booty!
Kyrie: It's FLAT!!! Bring me another girl!

Agree, and honestly, I was still ready to wish him well. I wasn't as bitter as some are going to be.

Then, he has to go there.... I really don't give a fuck if he doesn't like LeBron, and decides to throw shade at him. I don't know what happen between the two, and maybe there's a valid reason for Kyrie acting like that to him.

But to the fans in Cleveland? WTF? We didn't support you?

And I do think it was a shot at Cleveland. He's now suddenly really bitter at the city of Cleveland it seems, and for what?

That right there, is where I'm ready to say fuck off.

I don't get it. Why shit on Cleveland sports fans?

It's EASY to be a Boston sports fans. Boston sports fans have trouble getting excited about championships anymore, because they've got so many.

Jesus - after all the disappointment we've suffered, it's a miracle sports fans in NE Ohio are loyal AT ALL. And yet, we are the most loyal sports fans OF ALL - we keep coming back for jumbo-sized serving of disappointment and nut-stomping.

Really - I want to love the guy who made the biggest shot in Cavs history, but he is making it hard...

I think Stevens will get a lot out of Kyrie and make him a better player, but I don't know if Kyrie will ever be a good defender, or a leader. He just doesn't make the players around him better, like LeBron does.

How many times do we have to say this? When LeBron was sitting, and Kyrie was running the team, the Cavs were a mediocre team. An 8-seed.

I find all these uneducated prima donnas opinions to be that relevant.
Cleveland is NOT a massive city. The greater Cleveland area is around 2M, and that's an hour out. We are a mid sized metro area that supports three sports teams. We have some pretty good restaurants and like our breweries. We have some attractions and fun areas. An hour west we have a thriving lake area and islands. Frankly, I don't need the stamp of approval of an uneducated prick.
We do NOT have a thriving club life that a young black rich kid is looking for. Go to NY, La, Vegas etc if you want that. Boston has 5M people, over 8M within an hour.
We never claimed to be that, nor do we want to be. If a comparison is going to be made, please have one that's accurate.

Because I assure you, thousands of Clevelanders are talking really heated, personal shit.

I am not surprised by any of this from anyone.

ACs comment on this tonight was really telling. He described Kyrie as both living in his own mind and in a web of people. That sounded pretty wild and is consistent with the flat Earth pseudo intellectual bs. Kyries really sheltered growing up with his dad telling him how awesome he is. Very interesting that ac said he was confused

Kyrie may as well view himself as an intellectual. He may well be cocky and overly self serving but we’ll never know that.

What we do know from context clues is that he’s either a liar or has no idea of the strain it takes to be a leader for a true title contender. We all know he can act like a leader for a shitty team but being the Celtics best player is HUGE

I think he's largely referring to Carl Lentz IMO...
