Stephen curry won that year, and his team finished with the best record.

Curry had a historical season. I don't think, I was trying to a suggest a player can't win MVP because their team has the best record. Just that a player shouldn't win that award just because their team had the best record.

Besides, we're in the analytical age of sports. There's a lot more data available to tell us who truly is the most valuable player, than just being lazy and handing it to the player that was on the team with the better record.

Curry had one of the best season's ever. His numbers and impact backed it up. I hate the piss ant, but he was deserving of MVP.

Careful now. Facts and all.

And btw Godfather its happened before.

Derrick rose won it cause his team record.

And I've been on record, numerous times, saying he's the worst player to have ever won the award.

He was not, at all, an MVP that season. He wasn't even close. He was a great young talent and was breaking out into stardom.

He should have never won that award though.

I think if boston finishes within a couple games of those two teams, he could have a shot.

I should note that I didn't say he WILL win it, just that he'll be back in the conversation.

He'll finish in the top-3, maybe, but I don't think he should.

If the season ended today, I'm just guessing.

It'd probably be: Harden, LeBron, then Kyrie.

I just think too many people aren't going to vote for either Durant or Curry, no matter what, because despite what people think. I do think they've taken a penalty for joining forces when it comes to MVP talk.

And the media is so predictable. They'll look at the fact GS barely having a better record as another reason to prop Kyrie up.

Still a long season though. Not convinced Boston will win 55 games.

If that's the case, Kyrie will be completely out as a candidate, unless he starts putting up bigger scoring numbers.

I could see KD getting a groundswell if Curry misses more time. The Warriors are going to win 60+ with or without Curry (same goes for them without KD), and KD is putting up some really good numbers.

As for Boston getting to 55 wins... they're 29-10 now, 26-17 doesn't seem too difficult.

No, the season you're referring to is 15-16, his second MVP. I'm talking about his first MVP in 14-15.

Their schedule is going to get tougher. They still haven't had their road trip. Their defense isn't quite as smothering as it was, and they struggle to score. I think they're going to go on a rough spurt, at some point.

He was still fantastic that year. And actually deserved the award. IMHO.

He had a player efficiency of 28 (that's elite) and that was higher than LeBron's at 25. LB's first season back here wasn't that great, for his standards. He actually took a step back.

All the advanced metrics had Curry making a bigger impact that year, even than LB.

Doesn't mean he was a better player, but he had a better season. So yeah, I can't sit here and say he wasn't actually deserving of that award as well.

Swap Kyrie with Giannis.

KD is disqualified from MVP consideration due to being such a beta that he ran to the team that beat him and willfully became second fiddle to a player that he is better then and so insecure that he defended his actions under a false screen name. Also there is that pesky point that he's no more valuable to his teams success than Curry or Green. Again, players he's better than.

His team isn't good enough. This is just my opinion who'd finish where, today, if the season ended.

As of now, Giannis would not leap frog Irving.

Man, I don't think I could ever be friends with Kyrie. He seems like the guy at the party who thinks everyone is laughing at him if there is any sort of laughter as he comes back from taking a piss. Kyrie is the Kanye West of basketball.

Article also didn't mention that Kyrie considered asking for a trade after the 2016 Finals or that he had stopped talking to his teammates in the 17 Finals.
Or that he told teams he wouldnt resign with teams, which stifled Cavs offers.

Also mentioned Mo Williams as a teammate? Really Jackie? You look like more of a moron than usual.

But hey....hes a Celtic...all is forgiven right?

I look at this as a challenge to Lebron to stay here and make sure Kyrie never sniffs the finals as long as he is around.

He’s a lil shit head.. I really never expected this from kyrie.. all cuz he wants to be “the man” smh

Kyrie's a douche, that's clear. Having his parasitic personality gone is going to be a huge boost to our team. This team would be worse with him on and IT/Crowder off it.
