LaMarcus Life Jacket

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I wouldn't trade TT for Aldridge straight up let alone attach Cedi.

I wouldn't trade him for TT straight up. He chokes too much in the playoffs when his shot is not there. I want him coming off the bench so I'd do Shump+Frye+Cedi but idk if salaries match

Do. not. want.

Prefer Kevin.

Spurs probably would turn Cedi into Ginobli 2.0, nevermind I'd like to keep him if possible

This dude is supposedly unhappy in San Antonio with a legendary coach, elite young two-way player, and beautiful basketball system. He's gonna come here and just fall in love with all of the isolation? Definitely a down-grade offensively compared to Love and a huge drop off defensively from TT.

Hard. Hard. Pass.

I know it's not sexy, but I'd rather try signing Gasol for cheap.

Well, can they play him at the 5? Can he protect the rim at all? We know hes a much better scoring threat than TT.

Is it an upgrade to TT?

LMA is not as bad as people make him out to be, but he's a moody fuck. During his whole stint with Spurs he had attitude problems, lack of motivation. Fans accused him of laziness, etc. Buford and Pop could barely control his tantrums and that's a major problem. The main reason they're trading him is probably to clear up space for free agents. That's why Pau opted out and will sign a new team friendly contract. Spurs can sign 2 top free agents or sign 1 and extend their expiring guys. That is if they get rid of 30 millions owed to LMA and Green.

TT and Shump for LMA and Green saves the Spurs around 6 million and with the 125% rule it works for us. Add that to the cap space they have around 7 million and Pau opting out. They have the salary for a max player. Both LMA and Green have player options for next year so I can't see anyone giving up much for them.

I'll trade TT for him in a heartbeat. TT cant shoot but LMA can shoot and has a back to the basket and fadaways..

People forget that he played like shit because he became the 1st option after Kawhi got hurt. He would be 4th option here.

If he is then why would the Spurs trade him?

I think they want cap relief for a LMA who will most likely mutually leave after next season. If they add Green in and we add Shump, they get the needed cap space to go after a max player. LMA isn't a big lose for them, Pau is opting out to sign a cheap deal with them. TT gives them rebounding and defense.

If they could dump LMA on his own and get a asset in return I think they do it. Spurs have never been a huge free agent player, I don't see them going after two max guys.

He doesn't improve our foot speed and athleticism. Good regular season player but he has stretches where he can't hit wide open shots. I still honestly would trade TT for him (IF Spurs even want TT).

Kyrie
Green
LeBron
Love
Aldridge

That seems like a good team on paper but contenders now all have to ask does this improve our chances of beating GSW? I doubt it does because it doesn't address the question of who can switch on to KD and is it ideal against their small ball.

You guys need to put the pipe down. I doubt spurs would give up lma for shump and TT. They may want to trade him for love.

There are countless teams that would give up picks + younger talent for LMA.

THAT BEING SAID, does LMA even wanna come here? There are reports that says he wants to leave the spurs because of all the attention kwahi was getting, how the fuck will he feel as the 3rd option here?

As for better fit on our team, imo, I think he fits better than love. Better shooter, both play bad D, almost no verticality, and both are atrocious on the p n r, with LMA worse than love in that aspect of defense.

I wouldn't feel bad or happy if we traded for him and gave up love.

Multiple reports of him getting jealous of kwahis attention, and of course Pop was pissed off at him during the playoffs where he played like absolute shit.

LMA is requesting to go, while spurs incentive is cap relief.

Also, Spurs want a lot for Danny green. In what world will we not give up love + god knows what else for LMA, let alone Danny green as a "throw in"?

It adds some firepower- he'd never be the first option here but would require GS to have to account for him when he's on the floor- right now they pay no attention absolutely zero attention to TT.

Can he block a shot? I really don't know. While he's not going to challenge TT in the hustle department, and may be a downgrade defensively, the dude can score and at no point will need to carry the Cavs.

It also leaves the core intact. Might be worth it as TT isn't getting any better and GS figured him out.
