LaMarcus Life Jacket

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
You're telling me you think the Warriors wouldn't be a little bit worried about facing a lineup of

Aldridge, Love, LBJ, Smith, and Kyrie?

The Warriors are a really really smart ball club. They won't enjoy defending that lineup compared to having TT there. Plus, we don't lose much rebounding. I say if the Spurs want that deal, we take it.

A huge part of the Warriors defense was centered around allowing TT free room to role straight to the basket because they knew he couldn't finish.

I thought they used Zaza to body him up and it worked perfectly.

LMA is one of the worst big game performers I have seen in the last few years. Its not like Chris Paul who plays good but just losses. LMA don't even play good.

Id stay away from him unless he has no pressure at all. If hes coming off the bench and shooting as much as he wants then im cool with him. But as a second or 3rd option...hell no

aka no trading Love for him. At least Love will bang the boards and play D when hes having a bad shooting night. LMA couldn't rebound in his prime

I wont deny the floor spacing a 5 of Love, LMA, LeBron, JR and Kyrie could give would be beautiful but I don't trust LMA

I keep misreading this thread as something related to Jarrett and those thoughts of Jarrett Jack running the point comes back to the memory and I have a near heart attack.

There are countless teams that would give up picks + younger talent for LMA.
LMA isn't fetching jack shit on the market. What countless teams are going to be tripping over themselves to get Old Man McGee?

As for better fit on our team, imo, I think he fits better than love. Better shooter, both play bad D, almost no verticality, and both are atrocious on the p n r, with LMA worse than love in that aspect of defense.
Well he's pretty clearly not the better shooter and the rest of your post is just slamming how shitty both are on defense which doesn't even add up since Love has greatly improved his defense and isn't atrocious at all.

In what world will we not give up love + god knows what else for LMA, let alone Danny green as a "throw in"?
lol Cavs wouldn't trade LMA for Love straight up in a thousand years. The worse player who is also older? Why the hell would they do that.

Have you seen how the Warriors defend him? They completely ignore him on offense. If you thought TT was bad for spacing wait till you see this
His role will be what Shump should be

I am comfortable with 100% of Shrimp's minutes going to Allen. It's not like we're comparing him to all the great 2 way players we have.

I figure if we're going to have a defensive specialist why not have one that's actually good at defense. Unlike Shrimpy McGee

lol where do ppl get this shit from?

Love is way better than LMA

Maybe I'm the contrarian here but I would trade Love for LMA and Green. It's not a slam dunk but it manufactures depth.

I view LMA as the national whipping boy, similar to how many view K-Love around here. He's completely fine as a 3rd option.

The tipping point is Green, who is a fantastic defender and on a great contract. He's about as good as you can do from a 3&D standpoint.

It makes us deeper AND more flexible from a roster standpoint. Having Green would allow you to dump Shump for a big, which could then allow you to move TT for parts.

Any 2 for 1 deal where we get back a legit 3rd option plus a young 3&D guy should be considered IMO. Our depth was atrocious in the finals and anything we can do to get more players on the roster that can play against GSW should be done.

Hes not the same player. He has completely vanished into a system where he was designed to be the 2nd option & failed miserably.

If you think Kevin has had confidence issues...I suggest you imagine a playoff scenario where LMA is played off the floor in the 2nd round.

He's 3 years older. He cant score as well. He cant spread the floor as well. His defense is probably a wash at best. Plus he would take time to gel.

No thanks to the life jacket, I would rather drown.

I think that deal just doesn't do enough for us to merit giving up Love. I get what your saying with 2-1 but LMA and Green just don't cut it. Theyd have to throw in Simmons too for me to budge.

Portland LMA before everyone found out he was a playoff bum was a guy you trade your house for. But the current LMA sucks. He would've never seen play time against this Warriors team if his team had better options.

If you think Love can be frustrating imagine LaMarcus Aldridge in the playoffs going for a layup but somehow it turns into a missed fadeaway jumper.
