LeBron James

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Harden On/Off:
On: Rockets +8.1
Off: Rockets +6.5

LeBron On/Off:
On: Cavs +9.4
Off: Cavs -7.3

LeBron is not losing leads, the rest of the team is when LeBron is not on the court. Something that Harden doesn't have to deal with because the Rockets outscore opponents whether he is on the court or off.

Harden also only plays hard on one end of the floor, and has a negative impact on defense, a big reason why the Rockets don't have much of a drop off when he leaves the court.

bingo

Taking Harden off the Rockets and putting LeBron in his place would absolutely lead to more wins for the Rockets. LeBron would also be out of gas by the end of the season playing that system. But the system they play leads to teams overachieving in the regular season more often than not.
Yes and I'm not knocking Harden because he has had a great season but LeBron and he are not even close to same value. Hint why MVP is a joke.

For goodness sakes LeBron's career eFg% is higher then harden this year. Were not talking about a little difference in effective shooting. Harden is shooting 52% from 2pt range. LeBron is shooting 59% Harden's eFG% is 53% LeBron's almost 60% harden has him from FT line but hardly making up for difference in overall effectiveness.

Everyone entitled to their opinion. Mine just differs from some

Why does everyone care so fucking much if he wins MVP or not? He is generally recognized as the best player in the league by fans and media alike. Whether or not he gets a trophy that says so isn't really a huge deal. Before anyone tries to say "it'll help his legacy," I'm thinking that is pretty well secured at this point as well.

Because we are all bored as shit waiting for this long ass season to end

I don't think MVP is necessarily a joke and I agree with @Rich that it is an award to comemorate whoever had the most outstanding season, not the best player. Westbrook and Harden are the most obvious players to be nominated but westbrooks record isn't as good as the others and Harden has slowed down of late, while LeBrons game has picked up considerable and the cavs might end up overtaking them at the end of the season.

Harden has the best case for the MVP this year.

LBJ is better and he is more valuable. But that's not how the MVP is determined. The MVP is determined by who had the best combination of stats+record. That's Harden this year. Bron would make Houston "better" in the sense that they would have a better chance to win every playoff series they play. If LeBron went full tilt during the regular season, then yes, Houston would be better with him in the RS too.

But LeBron has/is not going full tilt. He cares about titles. So, for that reason, Harden has a better case for MVP this year.

LeBron is 2nd in my book though. He'll probably finish 3-4 in the voting tho.

Was going to say this til I saw you posted it first.

Rockets with LeBron probably win more regular season games. But that team is not winning a Championship, and this Rockets team with Harden is certainly not winning a Championship.

Houston's not going to win the championship? Thanks for info

Im just funny with Rob because you cut me up with another Scarlett red X. FYI though I hate Houston and hate Harden even more

So LeBron and some role players rolled the Jazz in the 4th? Nothing new here--just the best player in the universe doing his thing (except for those goddamn FTs).

The depth allowed James to only play 26 minutes through three quarters so he could go all out in the fourth which meant defense, grabbing defensive rebounds and then going the length of the floor on crucial possessions as he has time and time before.

Frye/LeBron/Jefferson/JR/Dwill. With Love back, Derrick Williams is out of the rotation. I'd be surprised if JR isn't inserted into the starting lineup soon because teams are going to dare Shump to shoot as they did tonight. On the other hand, JR as part of the second unit is a killer. Might even see a Frye/LBJ/Jefferson/Korver/JR lineup or Frye/LBJ/Korver/JR/DWill lineup.

In any case, as long as 23 is in the lineup, the team can win any game. Amazing.

To be fair they are all roll players including Lebron, just his roll is team leadeer and GOAT. :chuckle:

No way. MVPs should at least be serviceable on both ends of the floor. Harden is an absolute joke defensively.

While I agree, Steve Nash was worse than Harden on D and Steph Curry is awful too.

The voters just dont care about D, they care about record and offensive numbers.

Eh, I don't think Curry is awful defensively even though he sure as fuck benefitted a ton from having such good rim protectors the past couple of years. part of being a good defender is funneling the offense into the arms of the rim protection and Curry is pretty damn good at it, and I still think he's at least servicable in man to man. I know, Kyrie cooked him but Kyrie cooks everyone and against Westbrook he was just so physically outmatched it wasn't even funny.

And I'll jump on the "agree, but" and say that I agree on the overall sentiment :chuckle:

Oh man, if LeBron could concentrate on his freethrows he'd probably average 2 more points a game. The fact that he's averaging the numbers he is with the guys on this team is crazy. LeBron is doing close to what Westbrook is, but with guys that can take these numbers away from him.
