LeBron James

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
LeBron went on and on in the post game interview about how out of shape he is due to lack of conditioning from missing so much time. Said that even though he has some days off to rest his ankle he needs to get some conditioning in. Pretty much what @Sir'Dom Pointer was afraid of. Though even an out of shape James still put up an efficient 29, 16, and 9 so I wouldn't be too worried.
So basically "I'm not playing back to backs, Milwaukee"

For those worried about his minutes....

Per McMenamin-

LeBron was mad at how winded he was during the game and hit up the VersaClimber for a post-game cardio session...

Good lord, and here I am eating a blizzard from DQ.

Battle of the head taps at the end. Kyrie really hates LBJ- no fucking idea what the hell happened.

Minutes wise, and I didn't check back the past few pages to see if it's already been mentioned, there was also a huge 8-10 minute break while Hayward was dealt with.

29+, 16+, 9+, 2+ has only been done 15 times in the last 33 years.

Barkley 5 times
Bird 2 times
Duncan 2 times
Vince Carter
Shaq
Hakeem
Parish
Fat Lever

and now James. While out of shape* and with a hurt ankle.

*His “out of shape” is “best shape of my life” for 99.9% of humans.

Interestingly teams are 14-1 when a player puts up those stats. Barkley’s Sixers lost to the Cavs in OT in 1992; Barkley had 30/18/9/3/3 in that game.

Tough spot. He probably should cut back on the 3s, but then again he has to keep the defense honest to open things for Wade and Rose.

Takes more than most can comprehend to be the best at something.

Amen, brother!

As much as we like to praise and admire LeBron for his ability to play this game at such an incredibly high level, what oftentimes gets overlooked or underappreciated is his absolutely insane work ethic and how much that factors in to his basketball acumen and skill set. Yes, he was born with all of the physical tools he needed to be successful. But it's that personal daemon that resides within his psyche that causes him to be unsatisfied with everything he has accomplished up to this point and constantly pushes him to be better than he currently is. That is how an almost 33-year old athlete, who is one of the greatest to ever play this game, can play 41 minutes, be completely exhausted, and still find his way into the gym after the game for a 40-minute cardio session.

LeBron really does need to work on his conditioning. He was killing us out there. KILLING US JERRY!

Read there was some shit talking between Kyrie and LeBron, and Kyrie and Lue. Any insight into how that exchange went?

Was interesting trying to watch all the dynamics last night. I wonder if Ky and LeBron would have embraced if they were a half court apart. Over time mutual respect will grow and their beef becomes more distant - but that brief exchange likely helped to smooth the waters a bit quicker....
