LeBron James

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
this is up there with The Decision as the single worst/most clueless moment of Lebron's public life.

But he is right.
I know for myself, that when I have nothing going on with my life, Sports become my main focus and I take things much harder whether it's a player getting injured, franchise player leaving the team or the team underperforming.

So yeah, that's his life and he decides what to do with it. It's none of our business, but big time sports fans are fanatics and Lebron was a big part of our life. At the same time, he showed very little compassion with "The Decision" and during his time with the Heat.

I don't know what's going on in his mind, but him coming back to Cleveland is and was a chance at retribution. It was first and foremost Lebron trying to salvage his legacy and was ego driven.

I love Lebron, but it's an irrational love.. like how parents love their child despite his flaws and again, it's ego driven too.. he is a great basketball player and saved the Cavs.

LeBron has been my favorite player since I was 8 and he was a senior in high school. I definitely feel you on the irrational love. I'll find a way to defend almost anything he does lol.

I think Lebron is very admirable guy, don't get me wrong. It's not easy to be annointed the next Jordan/living basketball God/hope of Ohio/the chosen one while you're still in high school. Child celebrities notoriously go crazy and become dysfunctional but Lebron has consistently been disciplined, focused, and hard-working and contributed to his community throughout his career. All things considered he has dealt with it all incredibly well, with the only negative aspect being a bit of an ego (don't know how anyone could avoid that in his position). It's pretty amazing that the biggest "stains" on his career are temporarily leaving his home town team in free agency, only averaging 18/7/7 while losing the 2011 Finals, and a brief tantrum after those Finals where he lectured the fans about how he is rich and they are poor. For most athletes those wouldn't even register.

I just think it's a little shitty/lame for a rich person to go nyah nyah nyah to poor people. But Lebron was shattered after those Finals, that was the experience that really inspired him to take it to the next level. All part of his process.

One of the most misinterpreted quotes from LeBron, or anyone, that I've ever seen.

He's saying your hate and vitriol being vindicated towards him does nothing to improve your life, he lost the Finals and it did not affect your life for the better in any way shape or form. And he's right.

How is it the next day and we still don’t know what Kyrie said to Lebron to get a technical foul!? All I’ve heard is he was jawing at the bench and Lebron in particular. Anyone get any specifics?

Remind me why we ever changed jerseys the first time? The red and white piping traveling down the side and circling around the front of the shorts is a beautiful touch.

Seeing these side by side just reminds me how our LeBron 1.0 jerseys are my favorite of all-time.
