LeBron James

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
LeBron has to average 25 points for the next 2 seasons which is extremely possible at 34 and 35 years old. Then he has to average 21 points for 2 seasons after that at 36 and 37 years old. Finally, he has to average 17 points at age 38 and you'll be looking at the all time scoring king.

This is assuming he meets his average 75 games played per season.

Hard to believe his longevity and Health and he is still going to have a hard time reaching that.

I have been reading about Peak NBA time and it is basically peak after year 4 in the NBA and then a slow decline until 31 and then a major falling off a cliff decline. Lebron has turned that on its head. He is defying all expectations of decline right now. I would say, he looks better physically than his first year back this year by quite a bit. It really is amazing

Has anyone won allstar MVP after 15 years in the league

Kobe Bryant won in 2011 in his 15th season, he would have been about 4 months 1 week older than LeBron on the same date as this year's NBA all-star game in 2011.
Edit: Shaquille O'Neal won in 2009 in his 16th season.

Lebron will no doubt break the scoring record...he knows that the championship chase isnt going to put him ahead of jordan but if he can get 4 rings as the leader of a team and become the scoring record holder as a pass first player...then the debate becomes very hard for people to blindly pick jordan

Not to mention 2 of those rings being him playing a better finals than anything MJ has mustered. He's got 1 in 2016, and he'll have to put on something even better this year to win.

The exceptional players have different clocks. Jordan was still putting up 28+ at 34. When he returned after three years he put up 22. No reason to think he could not have put up 25+ over those three seasons. I think LeBron's body takes a beating better than Jordan's. But Jordan was still productive at 39 and my guess is he could have played into his 40s and averaged 15+ a game for awhile. Jordan also had that higher usage like LeBron.

Yup the mega athletes like LBJ, VC, MJ, Wilt, KG (and even RJ to an extent) start off with more base athleticism but they also have a slower decay rate. They truly just have muscle fibers of the gods.

Bro, we all will die and our great grandchildren will be discussing on this forum how much LeBron needs to average to score 1000000 points all time.

I did the math and it seems impossible for him to record 1 million points . He need to average 2000 points per year for the next 485 years .

If am being honest, I do have a sliver of fear he may walk. The Lakers are one move away from being able to have 3 max slots while retaining Kuzma & Ball.

I don't think it would be conducive to winning, but its a tad scary.
