LeBron James

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Is anyone else glad for LBJ that Kyrie at least isn't available? The idiot narratives the media would have spun if we were 2-0 down and Kyrie was slicing us up would have been a real embarrassment.

Considering he isn't available, it just makes LeBron leaving an easier decision. If LeBron got beat by Kyrie, it would have been much more difficult. Even Durant-esque...

We’d probably be up 2-0 if heyward and Irving are playing.

Celtics defensive efficiency would drop by half with those 2.

The current Celtics rotation is a murderers row of intense, team oriented, all out hustle, team offense, ball movement, fighting for every inch brand of basketball that we hate going up against.

Kyrie and heyward would eat into that.

You clearly underestimate the coaching difference in this series if you believe that...

I actually feel kind of bad for Lebron. There’s really no great situation out there for him.

He can’t go to the Celtics or warriors for obvious reasons.

And I don’t think he has much of a relationship with James harden. I really don’t think he’ll love playing for them.

And rebuilding the lakers with Paul George?? Good chance he never makes it to another conference finals again.

His best bet is to remain with the Cavs and force some considerable roster adjustments...

No...while Marcus smart and Rozier aren’t the talents that kyrie and heyward are-they are fighters

I want to retain LeBron of course.. but at this point do I really blame him if he leaves? Lord no. Playing for an ass clown like Ty Lue and watching other coaches literally coach circles around him, why would he stay? This late in his career he needs a coach that can a.) occasionally give him rest to provide longevity and b.) put him in the best positions to succeed night in and night out. Ty Lue isn't that guy.

I almost want him to go to the Spurs just so a competent coach would coach him and we could see what he's truly capable of. However that is obviously very, very unlikely.

Kyrie would make them worse. He would be exploited on defense big time.

He’d make the offense better, but he’d take the ball out of someone’s hands (Tatum’s, Brown’s, Horford’s, Rozier’s) and he’d make the defense worse. There’s absolutely zero guarantee they would be IN the ECF and up 2-0 had he played.

If you complain about LeBron (in the playoffs) yet are excited about the draft pick then its a you problem.

Because in these playoffs we need another player. We don't and even someone as great as LeBron it can become too much to overcome. So stay excited about the draft pick, but realize that not doing anything with it was always going to hurt this year. It is what it is.

Still think we can win the series, but purely on the greatness of LeBron.

Do people seriously still believe LeBron would accept a sign and trade to a team that removed key players or assets from said team? Come on now...
I'm operating under the assumption that New Orleans is leery about paying Boogie the max after his ACL tear.

Truthfully, they're in a bit of a bind there; do they let him walk for nothing or try to get something for him?

A S&T with the Cavs helps both parties immensely. Boogie's value is going to be hit by his injury, but I'd gladly take him as an asset over the junk we'd get from Houston. Shit we could even get a 3rd team involved.

He's got just as good a chance in New Orleans with the Brow as anybody else. He just watched the Pelicans take one off the Warriors. LeBron, Davis, Holiday, Mirotic and Rondo (assuming they re-sign him) is a monster squad. They'd need just a shooter or two to round out that roster and they're good to go. With that team LeBron would be able to play off ball and age gracefully while competing.

I think Houston makes the most sense for him. His desire to ISO fits there, he has proven teammates in CP3 and Harden, and they're championship ready. They'd have to gut the rest of the team and convince someone to take on their contracts, so that's the challenge.

I don't see the appeal of trying to start fresh at LA or join a Philly team that, while young and talented, doesn't necessarily complement his game.

I'm not sure what other destinations make sense. Minnesota, Milwaukee, OKC? If Lebron is going to weigh-in on what makes sense for his family, especially since Bronny is going to be in high school soon, I'd have to think Cleveland is the favorite in that race, with LA second, and then nobody else.

I see your emotional lesbian and raise you one Jabari Parker. I think he showed he can ball and still has upside after the Celtics series, and I guarantee Boogie will never be the same again after his Achilles tear. Blesdoe-Snell-Middleton-Bron-Giannis is a monstrous closing lineup

After listening to the pundits and watching games I am on the side of Celtics have a younger faster and more talented team overall than the Cavs. Yes Brad Stevens is better than Lue but it is not like the Celtics players are a bunch of nobodies. I bet Dwayne Casey could have done almost as good a job as Stevens with the same roster.

We are a shoot-or-shit team and if we are not shooting well then we are shitting. Next 2 games are home, lets see what we do.

Except it's an achilles tear and for a big man, that is likely a career altering if not ending injury. He will probably never be the same player.

Whether LeBron stays or goes he needs to commit to a 32 minute restriction in the regular season and go back to resting games.

In the playoffs he needs to be one a 35 to 38 minute restriction as well.

Those "bad habits" are a product of too many mins. He can't play hard for 40 mins so he has to pace himself within the game. Against smart/great teams they'll make him pay for that from time to time.

I said when we were down 2 with 2 minutes to go in the 3rd that we should rest LeBron. We don't...he plays he full qrt and the lead goes back up to 7. It forces him to sit the first couple mins of the 4th and lead went up to 11.

He's gotta sit, but we also gotta give him a reason to sit.

So yea if he goes to the Sixers, Rockets, etc maybe they will allow him to truly sit.

If he stays here we need a coach/roster that allows him to do that as well.
