I said something along those lines. If Lue had Clarkson in the Kyrie role of 2014-2015, where LeBron took the ball out of his hands and had him stop playing hero ball. Basically just taught him where to be effective and to play off each other for easy shots. I think Lue is just too stuck in his thinking that anything new or innovative will never happen while he is here.

I really hope we are in back channel talks with Mike Budenholzer and he is string along the Buck and Raptors as a backup plan. I think he would be a great head coach for us regardless if LeBron stays or not.

Still pissed we didn't go after Tyreke Evans. And I wonder if BKN is still interested in having their pick back for Dinwiddie?

Evans would have been helpful, atleast in this series. But again, who cares? Cavs are simply not good enough with or without Evans to win a championship...not close.

Makes the most sense. LA Hollywood celebrities courtside. Movies. Branding. Lakers have ton of cap space to get 2-3 studs plus ball

Maybe the Cavs made that Lakers deal to help out Lebron just like they helped Wade. Maybe he is specifically asking for favors now and we oblige or maybe he is really the GM now. Lebron is really next level...opened up enough cap space to join along with Kawhi to the Lakers. Gotta admire his all-around greatness.

I hate the media. Kevin Durant goes for 37/3/1 on the most stacked team in NBA history and they all blow their loads. LeBron goes for 42/12/10 and he gets shit for it. Stupid people, man.

Its the media, had LBJ did what KD did, we wouldn't hear the end of it.

There really isn't a path back to contention. That is what is so hard about this year.

So may questions are gonna be answered this summer. Stay and add some good young/vet talent? Go somewhere and actually buy into a modern ball/player movement system instead of this iso Bron ball stuff? Will it even matter if Lue is still coach? What to do with the pick, etc. Gonna get crazy around here in about a month . . .

There really isnt so that it why it time for LBJ and the Cavs to part ways. Someone above mentioned "organizational fatigue" And I think that is an apt description.

He came back home, 3 finals appearances, one ring. Frankly for not all of the injures to Kyrie and Love the first go round we would have had two rings. That series went 6 games basically with LBJ and JR

There is no path to beating GS with LBJ staying.

We will suck for a couple years but I am very high on Cedi and Zizic. We need to nail the 8th pick. Nance is a good role player. TT is 10/10 just overpaid
Maybe a new coach can save Hood/Clarkson
Hill, Korver, JR attractive trade bait for expirings if nothing else
and Love should fetch some things

I cannot remember the names anymore, but who was on the team the year after LBJ took his talents to South Beach ?

going to answer my own question

    2011 roster
Irving, TT, Jamison, AV, Casspi, Powe, Harangody, Parker, Hickson, Gee, Boobie, Erden, Sessions, Samuel, Moon, Mo Williams

I think we will be left with a lot more this time to start with other than Irving

The problem is there is no path to beating GS with LBJ leaving either. The question is whether there is even a path to the playoffs with LBJ leaving. Our young core is....still not good. Compare Cedi, Zizic, Clarkson, and the 8th pick as a core to the young core of Phoenix or Sacramento. We have expirings and assets to trade off but this front office has repeatedly appeared unable to spot talent in both trades and draft picks.

If losing LeBron and being trash means we get to go back to watchin a team at least try and not cry every play after one little thing goes wrong then I’m all in

This team is hard to watch. There’s no giving your body up, there’s no communication on D there’s NOTHING. It’s 10 guys who hate each other going through the motions because they know that no one is gonna hell them

So if I’m playing D and realize LeBron is behind me, i might as well give up already because if my man gets by me, LeBron ain’t gonna step his ass up and help me....so why should i even try in the first place?

Now picture 5 dudes with that mindset

They totally fell apart under adversity last night. Hard to watch for sure.

FWIW I think we should go back to trapping everything so it forces people to rotate (including Bron). It might help lead to some turnovers too.

Trap Rozier, Tatum, and Brown everytime they touch it. Because they're killing us whenever they put the ball on the floor.
