LeBron James

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
yeah lmao let's act like it wasn't the best move to repair his reputation, while also being a good basketball move

no other title would have been as big for his legacy as the 2016 cavs one, none.

Agreed. I guess I'm not sure why LeBron's motives for coming back should really matter, though. Look, LeBron is who he is. We all know he isn't Mr. Cleveland, he isn't Bernie Kosar. He wouldn't have come back if there wasn't an opportunity here for him to burnish his legacy. Which is fine. What matters is that he did come back and he got us a championship.

And of course he should have a statue. I think people will come around on that eventually.

I already thought of the statue idea. Its perfect.

It's called "The Block, The Stop, and the Shot"

It has LeBron, Love, and Kyrie in the post of each. It allows us to honor LeBron, but also give props to the whole team and not just him so we can keep our dignity.

Everyone feels good cause it is about game 7 and beating GS after they were up 3-1

That tweet by Pollard is going to make very many people #MadOnline, but it is 100% accurate.

Eh. He's become a Pacers honk.

That's the annoying thing. That fanbase is annoying as fuck.

I agree. I just hate when people call some Cleveland fans ungrateful because we aren't all over his dick

Lebron doesn't give a damn about the Cavs, why should we about him?

It's more like a mutual respect thing. He gave us a ring and we gave him his legacy.

I respect him for that. I don't have any love for him though.

Pretty much this, he was a part of a historic title for Cleveland. That's all we need to remember about him as a Cav, like others have mentioned he should be in a statue with Love and Kyrie, and not alone.

His last comments about going to LA just reinforced what a lot of us already knew about LeBron coming back.

I'm interested to hear what he says in this interview with Rachel Nichols where he apparently talked with her about how hard leaving the Cavs was for him. It's supposed to be on ESPN later tonight with various clips leaking out before then.

Sounds like another bucket of processed puke supplied to protect his image. "So hard" he's done it twice now, give me a fuckin' break.

Yep, I don't have high hopes but if he has any plans to show some self-awareness and explain what happened between the letter and now, this could be his best opportunity.

Oh please if he left us to chase rings on a stacked team I would’ve understand this hard to leave bullshit, but he left us for an all time trashy meme team just so he can live in Hollywood, just another solid propaganda piece by the LeBron James spin machine.

Yup, don’t fault him for leaving but let’s not pretend this was hard or not planned for awhile. He wanted to live in LA plains and simple.

This crap about him saying today he is not ruling out playing in a Cleveland again is funny.

I can see LBJ back in Cleveland, but his contract makes it pretty unlikely before the summer of 2022. He's a physical freak, but I'll be surprised if he isn't overpaid baggage for the Lakers on year 4 of that contract. If he has anything left to give, maybe he can come back on the MLE at age 37. I'd love to see a strong team led by a peaking Cedi, Sexton, Zizic, Nance, and so on, with grandpa LeBron along for the ride.

I'm now questioning how much LeBron wanted to make the team work this year. I don't think we have seen so many players not fit into a LeBron team ever. Usually LeBron made a pretty big effort to get guys to fit in and to get guys comfortable. Even when we got Dunleavy he worked to try to get him to fit in. I can't say he put that effort into trying to build that chemistry with any new player this year.

He let IT and Clarkson run wild. Basically had Crowder do all the heavy lifting without rewarding him on the offensive side of the ball. He could have run action for Hood like they ran for Korver. Hill and LeBron didn't run any plays together. Then LeBron said he wanted to go to battle with the proven old vets, basically cutting off any chance the young guys got any burn in the playoffs.

I think it was all part of his narrative. If he was Superman with a old team, he could leave easily. If a young team with alot of room to grow like Koby put together was out there in the playoffs and succeeding, would the narrative been the same? I know the pieces didn't seem to fit together but the effort just didn't seem there like the past to try to figure out a way to make them work.
