LeBron James

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Lakers forums have an official piss & moan thread that was started on 7-12-18. Even though we're 16-48, it's nice not dealing with all that. Like others have stated, I have more fun watching this team now than I did the past two seasons.

so much more enjoying this regular season and the development.

First time I think Lebron really screwed up his career path

Going to a team that had possibly less talent than the cavs

Wants to build his brand, goes out West and ratings are way down NBA wide. LBJ is gone from east Coast Prime time and no one is staying up late to watch him

This Space Jam thing will be a flop. Movie comes out and he is not even going to be a 8th seed? plus times are so different than they were when Jordans movie came out

To get Davis, they will have to gut the team. So a older LBJ, a injury prone Davis and who else...Rondo?

No reason for Leonard to go to the Lakers and go through the drama..might as well go to the clippers

Durant will want to be the man this time and not look like he is just joining LBJ

Kyrie is a wild card....but where he goes he will be disengaged in less than a year

bad move by LBJ

If lebron was in CLE I would have gone to see space jam 2 in theaters. Now that he is in LA, I’m sorry but suck my weenie. As you said, they probably needed to at least make the playoffs for Laker fans, who otherwise might not give sht, go see the “movie”.

I also resent Daffy Duck cuz I heard he was bangin Lola bunny...and Tweety knew the whole time. WTF.

Lebron should be remember for destroying basketball as we knew it. They’ll never be rivalries anymore cause of this scared to compete fake goat

It's the end of an era as far as I'm concerned. Lebron has consistently topped himself and surprised me for like 15 years now, at least since he beat the Pistons way back in 2007, but really before that if you were watching. Really, right back to his opening game in the NBA. Even last year, while it wasn't like the 2016 championship, he carried a bad team to the Finals against some pretty tough East competition (Pacers, Raptors, Boston all pretty good teams) and almost won Game 1 before JR screwed it up and Lebron busted his hand. This is the first *extended* period in his entire career that I can remember that he has looked really mediocre and just unable to lift a team. You could see the signs building in symptoms like his regular season defense but before now he could always turn it on and surprise you.

It's really sad when you consider what could have been. This is clearly the point in his career when he needs to transition to a team/situation where he has a lot of support, maybe even another equal star, and isn't doing it all by himself. That place could have been Cleveland if we had played our cards right. Even if he wasn't staying here, I would have preferred if he had prioritized basketball and gone to e.g. Philly or Houston and been in the right basketball situation. This is just kind of pathetic.

What’s going to be more demoralizing? Lebron failing and being a bust for the LAL or his movie busting and being an absolute failure?

I’d say the movie.

I greatly dislike James but I'll be shocked if Space Jam 2 isn't a box office success both domestically and internationally.

I’m sure it will do well like most kids movies, but I don’t think it’s going to be a smash hit or break any records here in the states. Now overseas, I can see that.

What happens in Staples Center next year if LeBron passes Kobe in points. I'm not sure how the fans react, especially if they get nobody in free agency next year and they're still struggling. I'm not sure what the fans will do, dare I say they will boo? What a scene that will be next year.

They'll boo him because lakers fans are the absolute worst

My six year old wants to see it since he loved the original Space Jam.

However he doesn't like Lebron so that will be interesting.

If Lebron really wanted this movie to be a hit he should have gotten Michael Jordan to come back to act in it. Some kind of GOAT showdown with the future of the planet at stake.

Probably neither of their egos could have taken it though.
