LeBron James

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Watching Dirk's retirement last night, part of me was sad because Lebron could have had that kind of love and rootedness in a city, but he threw it away by leaving for LA in pursuit of god knows what. It really tarnishes his career and makes him a more shallow figure than he could have been. His retirement ceremony is just going to be a corporate production from ESPN and Lebron, Inc. not a genuine expression of love from a city.

This is real era that is ending before our eyes. Lots of all time greats aging out. Lebron has never had a fond farewell. Leaving under cover of the offseason with no hint that he was going other than rumors. There will be lots of stories when he retires, but it won't be like it was even for Channing.

LeBron/Klutch vs Pelinka/Kobe vs Magic vs Jeanie/Luke is actually pretty remarkable if that's how it went down.

Okay, I figured this guy was reaching heavily (Magic apologist) but this was odd. Pelinka forced him to make a good investment then traded him. Too bad he loses, can never go back to or perhaps can't afford that home now huh?

Thank god he got traded to
1.) A team that literally used to play basketball games in his hometown
2.) A team that has his dad's number in the rafters.

Thanks Rob
Larry Nance Jr. is an interesting piece to a potential future playoff run.

and go fuck yourself for doing that to a guy who is Cleveland kid through and through.

He makes 11m per year starting next year and a house in LA has already increased in Value. Wish I accidentally bought a house in LA 2-3 years ago and made 11M next year.

It sucks what Pelinka did there, but Larry isn't on the street because of that move LOL.

Lebrons narcissism was too much for Magic. He could not control the beast.

Not commenting on this guys credibility, but holy shit what a homer. He has a glowing positive spin on... everything Lakers (going forward).. including the roster as currently constructed, as if it's some sort of a good thing. That was cringeworthy to read.

For what it's worth, he used to be either an attorney for the Lakers or Jeannie Buss personally (I'm sure the Lakers organization, like any major sports teams have a ton of attorneys), it's buried in his tweet responses or I read it on one of the Lakers forum I can't remember right now. Doesn't mean he's a legit insider, but it can't be dismissed. Normally 24 hours after an incident we get full spin mode so it was interesting to get the immediate fallout from his perspective.

The Lebron 2003 draft class.....This will be the first year that class will not have not one player making the playoffs for the first time......

ZAZA Pachulia and Kyle Korver didn’t make the playoffs?

I find it interesting that with all the mess that happened in Cleveland with Lebron/Kyrie/JR and others..with all of that drama going on, the Fakers kept that lid on themselves sealed tight, now with Magic gone, the lid opens and we see the amount of dysfunction that organization actually has.
Oh we saw some instances especially with Phil and Kobie but now we see into that deep basement, it is bad down there.

Larry said on Twitter he doesn't want to go back to the Lakers. It says a lot what he thinks of the 2 organizations. Channing came back. It's better to play in Cleveland than have the scrutiny of LA. All the guys who get traded here end up liking it. Just a cold weather city.

Agreed. It's going to be great next year if we squeak into the playoffs, and LA doesn't make it.

I still think it's unlikely LAL misses again next year.

"Buh 4th seed" arguments aside, due to their weak schedule up to that point, they will replace their 1-year-contract meme team guys with solid FAs - even though I expect they will at least moderately underwhelm given that so many people who are looking through purple and gold sunglasses have been hoping for Kyrie, another crack at Unibrow via trade, Son of Showtime Klay, Coward, etc.
