I was at game 4 in 2016.....after the Cavs went down 3-1 at home, I was within seconds of selling my game 6 tickets.....I watched GSW close out the Cavs the previous year and I wasn't sure I wanted to entertain that again. After a phone call with my dad, I decided to hang on to them and see what happened.
I'll just never forget that game for the rest of my life. As a season ticket holder, I was in that arena for so many big games and the air went out of the Q on almost every nervous occasion.....but that game 6 crowd, it was just on another level, like for the first time in Cleveland sports history they just smelled blood in the water. It's the loudest start to finish it has ever been IMO and LeBron set the tone in warmups. You could just tell he was so hyped.....he was bouncing around, rapping future word for word....the crowd was ready to go 30 minutes before tip.
And then the team just came out throwing haymakers, playing with attitude and purpose....every small bit player contributed.....Mo hitting floaters, Jones with the and-1, TT terrorizing them.... and Kyrie / LeBron just putting together a masterpiece. It was the first time I watched a Cleveland team truly play to their potential in a must win game......and it was just so electric. Game 7 was awesome but game 6 seemed like the turning point for me as a fan....where I became a lot more positive in moments where something could go bad.
