I get the thinking. I think it creates other problems with shooting, depth, and playmaking off the bench. Zizic and TT become less playable. We have to rely on Calderon to run the second unit. Cedi becomes a must play as he is now the 8th man on the roster. It expands Greens role even more. JR or Hood have to be a consistent 6th man.

The only thing I really would have liked about it is that we would be looking at having 3 all stars to possibly add a 4th in the offseason with trading the Brooklyn pick. That would have been huge but depth becomes an even bigger issue in the offseason.

Around the trade deadline I might have agreed with you, but I think this team ended up with too much (mediocre) depth. Depth is the reason we're not playing Cedi. Depth is a big reason we let Wade go for nothing.

I think we have too much SG depth. Basically have 2 PGs who are SGs so we have 6 SGs. 1 backup PG in Calderon. No true backup SF. 3 centers and one true stretch 4 with Love. I don't count Perkins or Okaro White as depth. Green is a tweener forward who isn't a good 3 point shooter so he is a hard play when we need spacing.

Cedi doesn't get playing time because there are 5 guys in front of him. Unfortunately the front office must have seen Wade as a SG instead of a PG (which he was for us) and they overestimated both Hill and Clarkson's PG skills.

I am SO tired of Lebron towards the end of games just taking the ball, running the shot clock down and then trying to make something happen. THIS IS NOT BASKETBALL. He is so damn athletic and I think he really hasn't ever learned how the game should be played. Move the damn ball around, back door cuts, etc. That is why the Warriors beat him. He is more athletic....they are better at Basketball.

Lebron playing 82 games this year and being a stat freak. We all know why he did this. He is leaving and wants to be able to say he left it all on the court.......THANKS BRO but how about you don't insist on TT getting $17 effing million a year crippling the team!

Kevin effing Love! He is not top 50 in the league. I watch the damn games and when given the ball, he cannot do anyhting. He gets pushed around by smaller players all the time. How was this guy ever an all star????? Someone?!?!

Sports in general. I've started thinking about this and cannot figure it out. Why do we care whether or not grown men from random cities, thrown on random teams, win against other randomly constructed teams? Is it so we can talk trash to another human? Is it so we can say our city is better than anothers even though our players don't even want to live in the cities of the teams they play on? Maybe it is just to entertain us until we die. I don't get it anymore.

It’s been 2 years since Blatt and i still haven’t seen why we let him go


Blatt did Kevin Love dirty. He also had issues getting his stars to buy in. Ima go ahead and say LeBron. Because Love seems like hell do anything the coach says and Kyrie went to Boston and ran Stevens offense so by process of elimination i have to assume LeBron was the one pushing back on Blatt, probably because Blatt wanted to limit isolation plays which would ultimately hurt Bron’s stats.

So this snake Ty Lue steals Blatts job right from under him, then he steals some of his best offensive sets and doesn’t even run them good, and now he has us running the worst offense of the playoffs. No ball movement, no direction, no wrinkles, it’s just 100% LeBron. When Lue was hired we were lied to and told that he had a good relationship with LeBron and could control LeBron. From what Iv seen Lue is nothing but LeBron’s puppet. Blatt gave in to his stars but i could never say he was a puppet. He’d sit Kyrie and Love for bad defense if he had to.



This all comes from witnessing our offense without LeBron. We’ve had this dude for 4 years and somehow still can’t run offense when he sits. That is on coaching. That myth that’s says our role players are ass or don’t want to run offense has been proven false imo. Hood is BEGGING to be unleashed. Crowder was BEGGING for us to run plays. ALOT of our players would be playing better if they weren’t in this LeBron centric offense. I just have to question how we practice because imo after 4 years of 80% of our staff being here I’m thinking when LeBron sits we should have a smooth offense. But we play as if we never practice without LeBron on the court. Like our no LeBron offense is EMBARRASSING and we have great players so it shouldn’t be.


I’m ranting pretty bad but i just want an explanation to this shit. What is happening in practice to where we can’t have an offense with ball movement even when LeBron isn’t running PG. I understand the excuse when LeBron is on the court but i don’t get the LeBron ruins our offense excuse when he sits or when he’s kinda feeling out the game offensively and not being aggressive. To me that’s on coaching and it’s where Blatt was trying to get us but we fired him too fast.

We beat 3/4 of those all stars 2 years ago and took 3/4 of those all stars to 6 games the year before that without Kyrie and Love.

Last year we operated under the idea that defnese didn’t matter and ran a shitty isolation offense that only worked because we had Kyrie AND LeBron. This year Lue’s trash ass kept the same exact offense and the only tweak he made was feeding Love more.

A monumental change like losing Kyrie should’ve led to a monumental change in our offense from isolation ball into a ball movement everybody touched it offense. But nope LeBron has Lue brainwashed into caring about his legacy so now Lue plays him 40 mins a game so he can brag about playing the most mins and he allows him to run Bron ball 90% of games which pisses off his younger teammates such as Hood, Crowder and Clarkson to the point they mentally check out because sitting and watching LeBron do everything is fun when you win but brutal in losses because everyone blames the role players for not helping even tho they are touching the ball maybe once every 6 times down the court because of LeBron. That wears on you when you look at Golden States offense that has more stars but manages to be even less selfish.

When you take off the fan blinders and think about it you realize THIS is the LeBron effect. Young players graveyard. He opts for vet teams because older players are just happy to be along for the ride. Younger players older than say rookies want to be more part of the offense and Bron knows that he’s gonna hog the ball so he’s smart enough to avoid that conflict from the jump. THAT is why Wiggins had to be traded. Not because Bron loves Kevin Love but because he knew Wiggins would not improve one bit playing with him. That’s why Waiters had to leave. Because he wanted to be the guy with Kyrie and Bron knew it wouldn’t work. And this is why we will NOT draft an aggressive point guard if we pick top 7. We’ll probably go for Trae Young and if he’s not available we will go center. Because LeBron does not want to share responsibility no matter how much he tells his people to leak to the media that he wants to play off ball. If he really wanted to play off ball he’d do it here. George Hill can run an offense he’s done it on 3 damn teams


I love LeBron but man i can’t act blind to his personality. Even feeling this way I’d do it all again. I’d draft him in the same spot and everything. Only change I’d make is i would’ve got him a better coach in his first stint so he didn’t get so used to winning his way because now he basically has us by the balls because he’s brought so much success and we can’t fire back at him with anything because all the coaches we’ve given him have been trash

Our coach is not intelligent/smart enough or creative enough to create a ball movement/man movement team oriented motion offense, putting our style of play solely on LeBron saying he brain washed Lue is unfair imo

Do you think Brad Stevens would have us playing this way too? or would he actually teach the players how to play team basketball & play high level defense?

Give Lue the roster Stevens has now I’m not sure he makes the playoffs let alone wins a playoff series, he rode LeBron and Kyrie for a giant contract and he continues to ride LeBron like no other coach has ever rode him.
