Lonzo Ball

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
But why would LA prefer Ball to Fultz if Fultz is the better player/less baggage?

I get Lonzo wanting to play in LA. Don't get the Lakers preferring Ball.

Certainly not to Fultz. I said it previously, but the best possible thing for Lonzo is to be drafted by someone other than L.A., simply to get out from under his father's control. And I'd think a team would benefit by having Lavar as far away as possible. Unfortunately, the Lakers don't really have that choice.

Maybe they take him -- someone earlier on this thread guaranteed L.A. would draft him. I'm not so sure.

I heard Ced Cebalos say the Celtics were making a big mistake not taking Lonzo Ball because Ball would play the 3, and they need a 3.

Now I don't watch a ton of college ball, but that sounded hilariously stupid to me. Was it as stupid as it sounded?
Absolutely, Ball is like 50 lbs. Would you play Livingston at small forward? Ball is a little shorter but with the same type of build as Livingston.

Lonzo's appearance is truly unfortunate. He can ball out though. Wish him the best if he doesn't go to the Lakers.

I'm torn. On the one hand, I'd like what is best for the kid, and that means away from this dad. That would have the side benefit of pissing off Lavar, so that's great.

On the other hand, I hate the Lakers, and I think Lavar would be an utter crapfest that would hurt the franchise. So, part of me would love to see Lonzo go there just to watch the shitshow.

He will be a top 10 passer in the league next season. He's a stud. He needs to get a little stronger but he is going to make life really easy for that young Lakers squad.

Yea, he looks good man.

Is just d league, but gun to head, id say he will be an above average player in the NBA, and I'm being conservative.

I see a real Jason Kidd, Ricky Rubio hybrid in his game. His passing is infectious and he has good size.

His passing makes his teammate splay harder. If he cleans up his jumper he could be a top PG. In my mind his ceiling is pretty close to Magic Johnson if he improves year by year. Never really a consistent 20 point scorer but does everything else great and runs a team.

It's nice to watch him pass but a nightmare to watch him shoot. He's the next jkidd in terms of his presence and ability to be a 2 way threat.

Will say his posture is terrible and if he doesn't get some balance to his through spine he's going to end up with long term back issues which a trainer needs to work on Asap

I don't think he'll ever be an amazing scorer. Above average rebounder for his position. But his passing ability is seriously next level. His dad is a knob and I wanted him to fail because of Lavar. But watching him play, I don't feel that anymore. As a fan of the sport, I can't dislike a guy who seems to have such a natural passing ability. Watching him shoot eats away at my soul though.

Looks good. Id like to see how he adjusts to NBA caliber guards, pace & defense.

I like his vision, but refuse to anoint him after a stint in Summer League where only 1-2 guys per team are NBA players, there is no defense, and the pace would make the GSW blush.

Shaq issued a challenge to that loudmouth SoB, if Lavar and LaMelo beat Shaq and his son Shareef, Shaq will superglue a wig to his head.

All the sha's and not one of them Shia LaBeouf
