Lonzo Ball

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
It's 'the understanding' because the dude has manipulated his family for their entire lives.

You're right that he's not risking much of his own personal money, which to me, is a bigger indication of his character. Calling him smart because he's willing to mess with his son's financial future just doesn't add up for me.

The point that you are missing is that LaVar Ball is not a dictator. There are many people in the Ball family who are running things. His brothers are just as responsible for their family success as LaVar is. LaVar is just the guy you see in your face everyday. Remember this guy was making the minimum in The NFL. He took that back to his family and they all flipped that and it has partly led to what they have now.

This wasn't just LaVar sitting on a throne and abusing his kids into being NBA stars. It's nothing like that at all but a lot of criticism paints it that way. I bet you didn't even know about LaVar's brothers or all the extended family members that he employs. He really is just apart of a large community of people. Every time people see his face they start the here we go again stuff but what they don't see is that there's tens of people behind all of this. It's not just LaVar talking shit which is largely what people see him doing. They don't see his brothers running successful businesses or giving jobs to whole families.

If you ask Lonzo, Gelo, or Melo who's responsible for hem being where they are of course they'll say their parents first but the rest of their family also plays a very large roll and people would rather just hate LaVar than acknowledge that this is bigger than LaVar.

Why the absolute fuck do you stan for a man you never met?

Lavar so desperately wants to be famous and he wants everyone to know HE is responsible for raising nba children.

Trash ass human.

Lonzo is probably the only one that will play in the NBA. And if I was Lonzo I'd have to start thinking about either a restraining or legal gag order for his father before he does any more damage to his career. Let him keep the bbb brand and stay away, easier said than done when it comes to family.

Would probably even help him focus more on actually playing ball with not having a constant distraction and authoritarian presence.

I don't think it's going to damage his career unless he co-signs on some of the loopy shit Lavar is spewing.

FWIW, I think Lonzo handles it pretty well. He just rolls his eyes and doesn't comment directly. I feel for the kid.

[USA Today] Lonzo Ball is holding his first official autograph session during All-Star Weekend. He'll sign any item, but it'll cost you $199.

What a dickhead!

Lmao, anyone actually going to get that autograph?

I just went and reread the first page of this thread, which included you saying how Lonzo's shoe was going to be a huge success, and people would be lining up to buy them. How did that turn out?

You said on that first page why you thought people criticized Lavar. But you're the exact flip side of that - you will defend anything Lavar says or does simply because he's an in your face black guy.

But... Why you'd disagree with my post just now where I said this:

I've never seen someone who valued themselves more than their children than this guy... He's ruining his children's reputation with everything that he does.

It's just such a shame...

Also, I .. don't think it's fair to say that @Los216 is defending LaVar because he's Black. I'm not sure that makes sense...

Ah, sorry. That was a screw-up click I suppose. I actually meant to like it.

I assumed projection given his post on the first page, and his apparent determination to defend anything and everything about Lavar not matter what it is.

But I'll drop it as not a constructive comment on my part, and edit it out. I actually regretted it when I first posted it, but was on the run and didn't get a chance to edit it. So thanks for reminding me.

I don't like Lavar but this is funny video. Great series.

Maybe the title of this thread should be lava ball?

I don't like lonzo, i don't like his game. I despise lavar ball. Cant believe he's being giving a platform all the time and the media empowering him. He should be collectively ignored or people need to relentlessly bash him into the ground and let him know he's retarded.
