LONZO BALL.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
At least it wasn't that great of a draft. Oladipo was the only stud out of that draft who was a realistic #1 pick. Neither Giannis nor Gobert were rated that high. That being said, even getting a decent starter / role player like Otto Porter would've been a huge win compared to Bennett.
Whoever was that no. 1 pick would have been traded with Wiggum for Love regardless, no?

not if he was any good. Wiggins was hugely hyped and a hyped #1 pick in what was supposedly a great draft would have been an excellent return for Love, who was on his way out the door anyway. Bennett was a throw-in because he was already an obvious bust.

There was no clear-cut #1 in that draft so we could have taken who we wanted, it's not like Bennett was considered a realistic #1 pick either. Or else we could have traded down. Just one more good quality starter could have gotten us another championship and possibly kept LBJ during 2015-18. Off the top of my head, there were no less than seven players in the first round of that draft who could have hugely helped us:

Victor Oladipo
Steve Adams
Otto Porter
CJ McCollum
Giannis
Rudy Gobert
Dennis Schroeder (backup PG)

Hell, even Kentavious Caldwell-Pope or (god help me) Kelly Olynyk would have helped some.

I guess you could argue we wouldn't have developed them, but that's just another way of saying our organization is crappy.

It's going to be an interesting match up! Ball vs Fultz at staples center.

I'm not a fan of Lonzo and the hype that surrounded him at all, but I do think he'll be an NBA rotation player for 10+ years.

He won't be a starter on a great team, but he'll either start on mediocre teams or come off the bench on better ones. Solid defensively, very good floor game, and a decent catch and shoot guard with size. He'll be around for a while, but he's never going to be an all-star player.

Sounds like a Robin Lopez of point-guards.

He's doing nothing again against the Wolves. Brings the ball up then passes stand in the corner. Watch his teammates do all the work. Teague is lighting him up on offense. WTF! He is not going in for a lay up just passes.

He's like Doncic, but without the size, IQ, shooting touch, clutchness, or beautiful hair.
