Luka Doncic

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Got beat by the Suns tho. He didn't look great in this game. I figured he would have feasted on them.

Also, I just want to say Harrsion Barnes is terrible terrible. He had those amazing athletic measurables, but he is actually really slow to jump and he just doesn't use it in the game.

Some of it was surely the back-to-back aspect of it. But Mavs in general are a pretty terrible road team (only 2-10). They lost both games in Phoenix this season. They're fantastic at home though - only 2 losses in 15 home games.

Gotta be a bottom-10 basketball game I've seen in my life, and as a Cavs fan I've seen a lot of bad basketball.

Luka's only scoring like 0.88 points per possession in halfcourt - he needs to improve on that going down the road.

As long as we are generally discussing how Luka compares to other players, Bagley is looking pretty damn good too. I don't think the Kings are spending a lot of time looking enviously over at Dallas.

LOL apparently Dave Joerger disagrees with my dumb comment.

"Perhaps there was an idea that there was a ceiling on him. I don't see it, unfortunately for us. But he's great for them and he's great for our league."

His efficiency has been dropping steadily it seems.

October: 34.8 mpg, .458/.400/.714 (on 15.0 FGA)
November: 32.1 mpg, .433/.368/.848 (on 14.3 FGA)
December: 30.9 mpg, .396/.289/.750 (on 13.3 FGA)

Hopefully he turns it around soon. I don't really like this trend. Maybe a conditioning issue? :conf (8):

Same thing happened to him in Euroleague last season...just defenses keying in on him more as they realize that he is, in fact, the Mavs' most dangerous scorer.

On the flip side though, that increased defensive pressure results in more open teammates and more trips to the free throw line. As a result, his overall efficiency by most measures is actually trending upward.

Rookies have a hard time with the NBA schedule too. I think we are seeing something similar from Sexton

I dunno...defenses have figured out that they can just bait Sexton into shooting long 2's all day, and so far he hasn't made any adjustments. He's averaging 1.7 assists, 0.5 threes, and 0.7 free throws over his last 6 games, which are unbelievably bad numbers for a starting point guard. At some point the coaching staff can't just stand back and let him try to work through it on his own; they need to shake things up and make him change his approach.

He's a star. Scary if that jumper continues to get better ala how Curry improved thru the years
