If the story and characters are any good I couldn't care less.

Unfortunately, sounds like that may not be the case.

$70 on shit?

Hell, I bought Destiny and all it's fucking DLC bullshit.

This is nothing.

That said, I'll probably end up hate playing the game because I paid for it.

Hearing good things from all of my friends who have played it thus far.

Will get into it for about an hour or so tonight. A good amount this weekend too. Will come back with my thoughts.

I think Rock Paper Shotgun might be grinding an axe, to be honest. Lots of people are saying technical issues aside, it's really good. The most positive things I've heard have been from people who have actually played even further than the trial. Watched a video this morning of a guy who said besides the animations and a few other small graphical glitches, the game is everything we were hoping for, including story wise.

So, I'm back to being very hopeful.

So far after the first mission it's 9/10.

It's definitely Mass Effect.

Yeah, it's not perfect but after an hour or two I'm enjoying it so far. Definitely feels like ME1 where they introduce a bunch of new stuff that's clearly not perfected yet.

im going to pick it up in a few hours and while my wife is away visiting friends convince my kids to let me play it. quick question to those who have will it psychologically scar a 6 year old?

No lol.

Exactly my take. However it's very interesting story wise this far. As well as the characters have been super enjoyable as well with the exception of the Salarian on the Nexus. He sounds like that Indian dude on Silicon Valley and it's driving me insane. Also I think Liam is kind of a douche.

just got to the nexus, liking it so far classic ME gameplay will be interesting to see how far than can go to make it feel really alien

On the verge of paying for EA Access just so I can play the damn 10 hour trial. It's killing me to keep seeing it on my games list but unable to play it. Never preordering again lol.

For 5 bucks it's well worth it. The game has been super enjoyable so far IMO.

I've still got another week of leave for the birth of my 2nd. Should've taken off more than 2 weeks, but finances say otherwise. So I'm probably just going to wait, but the urge is there.

Like what the hell is going on in that gif

Also, Jack has a really really creepy obsession with this aspect of the game...
