Exactly my take. However it's very interesting story wise this far. As well as the characters have been super enjoyable as well with the exception of the Salarian on the Nexus. He sounds like that Indian dude on Silicon Valley and it's driving me insane. Also I think Liam is kind of a douche.

Also, Liam has this one horrendous line. I forget exactly what it was, but in battle he says something like "That guy sure looks angry... 'cuz I shot him in the face!"

I was thinking it was the look of letting out a satisfying fart you've been holding in the second everyone leaves the room and knowing you're in the clear.

Just got to Eos playing as adept. Fricking awesome game very 'mass effect'. interested to see how the SAM play styes give the game more flexiblity

Agreed. The people who did these animations clearly fucking suck (although I'd direct blame at the management people who saw their work and said, "Yeah, that's fine"), but harassing them isn't cool. If you don't like it, don't buy the game (I'm not, at least not until it goes on a Steam sale style discount). Don't target the people who worked on it personally.

I had so much fun playing the story and I'm just itching to get more. I got to the end of the trial on Eos and now I can't wait to get to Tuesday. It's going to be one hell of a ride, similar to ME1 story wise I think. Love the mystery behind this Remnant technology. As well as if there are going to be alien races in this new galaxy that you can set up diplomatic relationships with. There is just so much going on to explore and discover.

Played some MP. Very disappointed that there are no new modes whatsoever. Basically a carbon copy of ME3 MP. I'll have some fun with it, but I'm sure it'll get boring at some point. If making a bland MP was what they had to do to make an epic story though I'm not complaining. That is what Mass Effect is all about.

They are not amazingly original characters but they have mixed it up a little. Apart from Liam he's a douche

The story so far has been great IMO. Characters have been solid, the main characters at least. Nakmor Drack being the best thus far. (Holy shit he's fucking awesome)

I haven't been able to really dive in and get to know the characters yet due to the trial restrictions, but there is certainly a lot of promise here. It's Mass Effect for sure, just different. In a good way. Not everyone is going to be as flaming badass as Commander Shep. I'm looking forward to seeing the Ryder's progress and grow as characters throughout the course of the games story.
