Matthew Dellavedova

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Better chance of Blatt coming back than Delly on his current contract.

I wish we would get over Delly already he moved on and was a non factor in the Finals. He did bring toughness to the team though and seemed to get the guys going, so I see why some want him back. Yeah won't happen anytime soon though.

Lol. No. Only that Milwaukee isn't invested in keeping him long-term and regrets the overpay.

Given the woes at back-up PG, and that Deron is likely gone next season, it may make some sense to work out a deal that eventually returns Delly to Cleveland. Probably a three-team trade.

Delly is what he is, and much to Milwaukee's chagrin, that is a lifetime back-up PG. Delly was maximized in Cleveland and both parties know he played, and would play, his best ball with LeBron.

I agree. Brogdon will get an honorable mention for ROY and hes basically delly on a much cheaper contract. I can see us dealing shump for delly and retaining korver as jr backup

Is Shump for Beverly still a thing? I mean that would be ideal but I would take Delly back even for Sump if it meant keeping Korver. So I would be fine with that big time actually but if we can squeeze something better out of Shump we got to take it. However yeah who is going to want to give us anything of value for him seeing how bad he has been.

Shump for Delly is a good deal for us. Maybe even a good deal for Milwaukee too.

If Delly really is available for trade - which, by the way, given how deadly the Brogdon-Delly-Giannis pick-and-roll has been the last month, I don't buy for a second - then a Shump trade may help Milwaukee... It depends what they want.

On one end, Middleton has been outstanding for them, losing your backup PG for a worse defender while your starting PG is just a sophomore is a tough pill to swallow (as we saw with the Cavs this year), Delly has become vital when they run Giannis as a role man, and even more vital when Giannis is the ball handler and Delly sets the screen, and Delly serves as a champion, veteran presence for an otherwise young team.

On the other hand, Milwaukee has two ball handlers in Brogdon and Giannis, they could use some more length off the bench, and while fun and great, Delly is not irreplaceable given proper planning.

Ultimately, I don't see the Bucks trading Delly until the 2018 offseason. He's too valuable while this young team is growing. Additionally, if they did decide to trade him, I think there would be better offers on the table.

If the Cavs want to trade Shump then they should look at a team like OKC - who is about to lose Roberson - for a potential deal. It's possible that, if the Thunder decide to move Kanter for a second option to Russ, the Cavs can squeeze in as a third team with Shump.

I just don't see any scenario where the Cavs get a player back of Delly's caliber for Shump... From what I've gathered, the entire league is really low on Iman, and they don't like his contract. I think we'd be lucky if we could dump him for a draft pick.

We can always hope he'll decide to play well in the postseason so we can dump him while his value is up.

The cavs looked, at times in g2, confused, unsure and in two minds as to what they should be doing. People mocked delly's natural abilities but he always seemed know what was going on and what needed to happen. He was confident in being proactive and not relying on leadership like the other sheep. Was motivating others his true value?

That's a very good point. Delly not only motivated other people, but there were plenty of times on the floor that he gave direction to other people, pointing out assignments, directing floor traffic, etc. Lots of little "glue" things that don't show up on his own statistical line.

Guys like Delly and Tristan are great for a rebuilding team. Pumped for this trade
