Might be the most rigged game I've ever seen.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Once we let the warriors off the hook in game 1 it took the pressure off and allowed them to front run and that’s all she wrote

First half of game three is now up there concerning most rigged.
I never thought I'd say this, but this finals may be the end of my NBA watching.

Honestly, the officiating is THAT bad.

How hard is it to call a somewhat fair game? I know they'll miss calls and have some biases, but to be THIS blatantly one-sided is disgusting. Especially when you consider that they are doing it FOR the most stacked team ever.

Sickening.

Coming into this series, I had ZERO expectations and thought we’d be swept easily. It would suck being destroyed by those front running cunts, but this is more painful. Fair reffing and we’re up 2-1 with a legitimate shot at winning it.

Actually, it could be 2-1 even WITH BIASED reffing but just a little less biased.

Right?! I would not be disappointed at all by losing to this stacked team in a fair fight.

But like this...ugh. I feels gross. Wrong. Sports aren't supposed to be unfair like the real world. They are supposed to provide an escape where the rules and lines are clearly drawn, and where the best team wins based on some combination of talent, strategy, and hard work.

But if the NBA is just going to be like politics or corporate America...well, fuck that shit.

Just a terrible product that the NBA is putting out there. I love LeBron too much to stop watching him, but once he's done I'm done with the league. I hope he finishes his career in Cleveland to stick it to the people who want him in a big market. There's just no point in caring about a league that so blatantly rigs things for one team.

seriously. I don't think even the Heatles got this level of rigging. this is bullshit.

and people are raising a stink over that LeBron overturned call. but an entire half of NO FT attempts with all the paint points? and that overturned call wasn't in the last 2 minutes of the game with seconds to go unlike the call in game 1.

I quickly got over the 2007 loss. and even 2015, because 2016 happened.

But this one is just tainted. This is like Lakers/Kings but worse.

If this wasn't the possible "End" of something? I'd feel better.

Like if we're talking about the Cavs somehow being able to land one of these:
-Paul George
-Chris Paul (ain't happening, but sure)
-DeMarcus Cousins
-DeAndre Jordan

And getting LeBron to sign long term. I mean, whatever. I get to watch one of the greatest people to ever put on a cleveland sports uniform ball some more and maybe contend for his 4th title (long overdue.)

But my faith in that being able to happen is pretty low. The most likely scenario is being laid out there with Chris Paul begging LeBron to be a Rocket and the Cavs being unable to offer what the Rockets have in comparison.

At least you know...they could have made it feel like the LeBron-Cavs organization would have went out swinging.

But whatever. ESPN and NBA can enjoy the "Radio Disney" version of basketball they want. I'll just spend money on auto racing and college football.

Did the Cavs get hosed that bad in the first half by the officials or is it just because of the 0 FT attempts? I was at work so even though I had the game on I couldn't pay much attention. I will say one thing, it is complete and utter bullshit what Draymond Green is allowed to get away with regarding the refs. His ass should have been thrown out of the game for his temper tantrum. He can say and do anything he wants

If everyone in Cleveland stopped watching the NBA, that would make the NBA happy. They obviously don't give a shit what Cavs fans think, it is openly rigged, they don't even try to hide it at all. The probably would like to move the franchise to Tampa or some other bigger market.
13 possible NBA expansion cities, ranked
Adam Silver says NBA expansion discussion is ‘inevitable,’ specifically mentions Seattle

Honestly with how the league is set up? It would be better if they just did this

East
Boston Celtics
New York Nets
New York Knicks
Philadelphia 76ers
Washington Wizards
Atlanta Hawks
Miami Heat

West
Dallas Mavericks
Houston Rockets
Denver Nuggets
Chicago Bulls
Las Vegas Suns
Los Angeles Lakers
Los Angeles Clippers
Golden State Warriors

ESPN, Various shitty blog outfits, NBAPA and the NBA would all be much happier.

They don't like the smaller markets. If they did? We'd have more "Green Bays" and "St. Louis's" to point in terms of success than the Spurs and well, us.

The first half was fucked up but we got calls in the second.

You could argue that the refs kept them in the game the first half and wouldn't let us pull away but we got help in the second half

Nobody in NBA history is allowed to complain as much as he does minus maybe Jordan. disgusting

If Lebron leaves and we go into rebuilding mode I'll be completely finished with the NBA because of how bad they fucked us this series. Yes the GSW are the superior team, and I never really thought the Cavs would win the series. But the horrific calls systematically turned what could have been a competitive series into a rout, in this of all seasons (potentially Lebron's last one in Cleveland). It appears to be the NBA putting their thumb on the scale to force Lebron out to another city.

I would hope Lebron might recognize this and stay put if only to spite the league and go against their open desire to force him off the Cavs. But I would never blame Lebron if he does leave, he has certainly earned the right to do whatever he wishes.

I would continue to follow the Cavs only, maybe loosely track Lebron but I'd probably ignore the rest of this crooked league. I imagine game tickets would get a lot cheaper so there's always that.

I do think that there's major traction behind this "force LeBron out of Cleveland to join a major market and combat the monster that the league created in GS" narrative. They realize how fucked parity is and how much ratings will plummet with GS virtually guaranteed a title every year that core remains together.

So they're going to fuck LeBron in the process but then turn to him as their only hope of salvaging ratings.

Just corrupt bullshit, and it's the Cavalier organization that is the biggest victim here. Our biggest hope is that the Cavs can do a creditable enough job this summer to persuade LeBron to stay and say fuck the media/pundits/talking heads.
