Most of us do not like this team! Why ?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Truthfully, I feel much less attached to this team than previous iterations.

We have gotten rid of so many guys who provided likeability over the years. Like I fucking loved Channing Frye and RJ. That shit was actually hard for me when RJ got dumped. I know it's the front of the jersey that counts, but just this constant shuffling it feels like a new team now.

Like, I'm just not emotionally invested in Rodney Hood yet. He hasn't headbutten an opponent to stick up for a teammate yet like Frye did. He didn't write pieces on the Player Tribune about what it is like to play with LeBron James and have constant fan interaction like RJ.

No one has needed to go to the hospital after a game like Delly.

These last 4 years have been really fun. But, fuck, man. A lot of what made them fun is gone. I know everyone hates him now, but I still like Kyrie. He's immature as fuck, but he was one of my favorite Cavs ever. RJ and Frye and road tripping is gone and in its place we have a bunch of guys that I just don't feel that emotionally invested in.

It's been a weird year for me as a fan. I just don't enjoy watching as much as I did the last 3 years

Lack of familiarity is the big one.

The other two are the cloud hanging over everyone that is LeBron's FA. And, for me, they just don't play an eye-pleasing brand of basketball. They were always hit or miss in that category, even when Kyrie was here. But they usually put it together in the postseason. But there's no chemistry now, so it's just not going to look good.

I really think this is a team that would FLOURISH under the right coach. Ty Lue got away with shit the last two years because we an ELITE scorer on the floor at all times. I've felt it before but todays game was the strongest in which I sensed the ghost of Kyrie. I kept having these false thoughts of 'we just need our other dependable scorer in the game'. The problem is there isn't one. We only have one dependable guy. But like I said before, we have pieces. They just need placed perfectly. Maybe I am asking too much of Ty Lue, he's only coached like 20 games with this new team.

Idk I still don't forgive him for giving TT and JR 10000 chances and not grooming Zizic and Cedi along earlier. Those 2 wouldn't be huge differences, but against this athletic Pacers team I think they would help.

I just don't like them cause they aren't very good. Pretty simple.

Personally, I don't know the team identity and I don't see the team spirit. Sure, that can be attributed to the newness of the players and the adjustments, but it's so hard to like and even love a team, when even they don't know what to expect of themselves.

My #1 gripe with the team is a lack of professional pride. I personally was never a fan of the “flipping the switch” mentality the last few seasons because I believe the build bad habits and disrupt cohesion but I at least recognized the overwhelming talent of our Big 3. I will never get why we don’t just play 10-11 players (not much of a difference in talent at from starters to bench outside Bron/Love) and yank players based on effort and performance. Too many all or nothing proposition type of performers so dying on the Jeff Green hill makes little sense.

Another reason why I’m annoyed is the lack of accountability and undue arrogance of Lue and to some extent LeBron about THIS team (LeBron deserves to have as much arrogance as he wants regarding his abilities lol). “We’ll be alright” is a maddening phrase because it completely disregards the level of urgency needed.

not really team related but the fact I have to put up with loudmouth pacers fans in my feed because of the cavs apathy this past game, regular season pisses me off.

I follow these people for IndyCar content. I don't want these people trashing my team, my city and my favorite players.

I hate that shit. Get it done so I can go back to asking these people who's going to get bumped from the field of 33 this may.

I don't have a problem with the players, the coach, on the other hand, is dreadful. It all starts with not maximizing the players strength while being cautious of their weaknesses, for example, parking jeff green behind the 3 point line like he's Klay Thompson. jeff green was at his best for us when he was playing with wade on that second unit, and playing the midrange game. last year the Cavs started games off by getting love touches in the paint, and he either drew a foul or scored.
This year its like he was told to run straight to the 3 point line. Here's the biggie, neither love nor Green are long enough to play center, which is why teams stroll to the rim for lay-ups so easily. Meanwhile, a promising young center Zizic is rotting on the bench, and before anyone mentions him being a rookie, why is it Boston, San Antonio, Philly, even the warriors all play their rookies. Also this defensive scheme is laughable, we rank 29th in the league for defensive efficiency, which by its self should be enough to get coaches fired. Gilbert is pay $137,718,426 for this team, he should be pissed

Exactly that has been my biggest question this season, everybody is like "oh we can't play cedi he's a rookie, oh of course we can't play zizic he's also a rookie" yet every other team seems to find ways to play their rookies and many of them become productive. All this teams problems comes down to bad coaching, trash like JR and Tristan getting minutes all season even though they been playing at a sub G-league level, there's no accountability, I've watched every game this year and found times where I'm screaming my head of at the TV begging for Lue to take somebody out while he rides them for a whole quarter. Seeing Green brick 1000 3s this season and yet somehow still has a "green"light to keep shooting them??? Lbj allowed to play absolutely lazy defence cause he's "saving himself for the playoffs". Well guess what playoffs are here and we still suck where this switch we keep hearing about? I swear best time to watch cavs this season was the streak where Drew was coaching us, as soon as this bum came back we started looking shite again.

Here we go again with this take ..old but I’ll reply anyhow . Boston played their prized #3 pick Tatum , Ojeleye is complete garbage and wouldn’t see a minute if they were healthy. Spurs didn’t play any rookies unless you are counting White who only seen the floor due to a 30 point blow out. Same with GS and Jordan Bell seeing a whole 6 minutes in a 30 point blow out. And you really mentioned Philly ?? Seriously ? The 2 rookies they played were picked #1 overall.

You are correct, Gilbert should be pissed . At himself for hiring rookie FO personnel ever since Danny F’n Ferry who alone cost us a few rings . Fucking Big bucks Gilbert can throw the money around but isn’t humble enough to hire NBA guys who would tell him to stay out of the way while they built a team. Gilbert is a fuck head and wish he never bought the team. LeBron in his 15th year and 1 ring is solely on DG’s shoulders .

I wouldn’t be surprised at all if LeBron told Gilbert he will sign a max contract under 1 condition . He must sell the team or take a huge equity loss.

For me, it was a total gut punch once it was made known Kyrie wanted out and then eventually moved. He was the guy that made watching all that bad basketball from '10-'11 through '13-'14 worth it. The fact he hit the game winner in 2016 made it even more special. When a guy like that, who had played his the entirety of his professional career here and was in a great situation from a standpoint of competing for more championships, wants out, it's just really deflating. On some level, as a Clevelander, it's like being told you're just not good enough or worth enough. I lived through that already once before with The Decision and the fact it happened again was the death knell for me. Also, a following a sport is not very fun when you know what the ultimate outcome will be (and let's not kid ourselves, we all know the fucking Warriors are winning the title again this season).

You wouldnt be surprised at the totally impossible?

The summer is a couple of months away. What's Gilbert gonna do? Sell the team to the first guy he sees on the street. Selling a basketball team isn't a one week deal.

So then how does this work with LeBron? He just remains a free agent into the fall while Gilbert looks for a buyer? And how does he go about getting value when LeBron is unsigned?

You have some takes. This is certainly one of them.

What do I not like about this team? We just do not have the firepower, consistency, and guys who can create their own shots to get deep into the playoffs.

And the sad part is historically Lebron has left teams when he realizes this. These days I do not even hold it against him, you cannot win it all alone. He is trying to be the best ever and rings have a lot to do with that.

Love is great, but he is just more of a 3rd fiddle, a la Bosh. He is not Wade or Irving. Had we had an Irving type player last night, that much needed scoring and buckets, i see a win.
