My Offseason Plan with Cavs limited resources...

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I don't know how the NBA salary cap and everything works but I was curious about something maybe someone can help me.

Say Cavs trade Irving for Chris Paul after this season. 2017 comes around and both Paul/Lebron both opt out of there contracts. Could the Cavs then say sign Dwayne Wade in FA(since they will be under the cap) then resign Paul/Lebron and go over the cap?

No there will be cap holds on FA unless the team renounces the player then they can't go over the cap to sign that player.

How do y'all feel about Gay/Koufos/8 for Love.. You'd be going small while getting a top back up center and a lottery pick. Also would allow for cp3 to sign here next off season.

I know there's a minimal chance of this happening since we probably don't have a lot of options. Do you guys this Pau would consider signing with us or do you think he will demand more money?

Brother Marc is begging him to go to San Antonio

What's in it for us

Best defense in the league... quite easily too.

Id probably do this to try win now, especially since we could get more than just milsap for kyrie. Like korver or bazemore or whatever.

Just depends how we feel about lebron and his decline because this is a win now trade as kyrie is a better long term prospect obviously. Love im not really very confident about i think hes gonna decline at a rapid rate.

But that defense man...

Kyrie for Millsap would end up on one of those worst trades of all time lists.

People are acting like LeBron has 1 year left. LeBron has at least 4-5 years left, with the shape he's in.

Get Kyrie to play defense consistently, which he's proven to be able to do. And trade Love for pieces, not Kyrie.

It's certainly looking like it this year. Not so much last year. If LeBron is healthy, with the way he takes care of himself, I can see him being a highly effective player for a number of years still. He's GOT to get that jumper back for real, though.

Yeah, Love's the guy on the way out. I just hope they can get back someone who can move and rebound, and a productive wing for him.

So in summary:

Kyrie for Bledsoe and change
Kyrie for Milsapp
LeBrons window has almost closed
Jared Dudley for 3 million a year
Pau for 3 million a year
Love for Bradley and Crowder
How good is Kyrie Irving, really?
JR won't even make 10 million per
Sign Mozgov for about 8 million per year

Did I miss anything:chuckle:

*sorry guys, just can't sleep and gravedigging through some old threads I never got to the first time around.
