"KD broke the league,'' Garrett told 'The Ken Carman Show with Anthony Lima' and 92.3 The Fan when asked he watched the finals.

Carman asked him to elaborate. Durant joined the Warriors in 2016 and beat they the Cavs in the NBA Finals the last two seasons.

"You hopped onto a 73-9 team and he took the easy way out in my mind," Garrett said. "It's different when LeBron left. He went to [Miami to join] Wade and Bosh but it wasn't something that was already guaranteed, something you already knew was going to have immediate success. [James] had to gel and work things into place.

"With KD, you just stick him in and he scores. You already knew what they had. They were 73-9 before and you put the second-best player in the world on an already all-time great team and of course you're going to have success, pretty easy success. Anyone can have an off night and they can still find a way to win."

Garrett continued to rip Durant for shortcutting his way to success.

"If I were him I would've never made a move like that in the first place,'' he said. "Me, I'm too competitive to try and ride on somebody's coat tails to get a W. But for him, you might as well stay at the spot you're at now. There's no point in leaving since you've already taken that moniker where he's been called the snake and cupcake and all that. You might as well stay and just keep on winning."

This was posted elsewhere in Cavs section, but I love Myles. Literally no one respects Durant or his "accomplishments" besides Warriors fans

Even if he's in another sport, it's nice to hear an athlete with that take.

Basically, what almost everybody outside of GSW fans are thinking. But seems like so few people that have a platform to speak from actually do. Watching the talking heads try to break down the finals as if it was anything other than a massive farce just hurt my brain.

So does this guy alone make the Browns defense relevant in a 12 team fantasy league?

Media is all over it, too. Dudes are even picking him for MVP.

Don't be silly, stream defenses

Exactly what 5 said.

Unless you get either the Jax, Vikings, Chargers, or Rams and they actually live up to the hype, you stream every single week.

Don't know how deep your benches are, but if my K or DEF is consistently putting up 8+ every single week, I will generally drop a player on my bench and keep them. Especially K.

The heat coming off this take!

Defensive Player of the Year: Myles Garrett
I may be jumping the gun by a year or two, but better to be early than late. This kid is going to tear up the league, and I like the group of guys around him in Cleveland. I also have reservations about several of the offensive lines he will face (I mean, feast on). So I am riding a hunch here. Von Miller, Aaron Donaldand Jalen Ramsey all will make a case for this, but I could see Garrett leading the NFL in sacks and taking a massive leap forward as one of the game's elite disrupters.

When was the last season that he didnt miss time w injury, including college?

I still can't get over this performance. I can't remember the last time we had a front 7 player dominate a game like that...? I'm sure at some point in the last 15 years there was a fluke performance I'm forgetting, but that was just a beautiful game

So when he talks about using moves and approaches in the first half to set up things for the second half, he’s not kidding.

Change thread title to Myles Garrett, Special.
