2019 NBA Draft Lottery

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
If we magically had another lottery pick between 6-14, Bol Bol would without question be a guy I'd draft and see what happens, worth the risk, imo. But with just having the 5th pick.... I'm going to have to pass.

Bol would be worth the risk at #6 if you had #5 and #6 but not worth the risk at #5 alone? Safer picks get you Dion Waiters or Harrison Barnes when raw talent Andre Drummond is available. Health is clearly something that needs to be evaluated by your doctors. But if his foot doesn't appear chronic, aim high and see if you hit big.

Just to clear it up, even though just back I was talking about Langford and how I do like him, if Bol Checks out, I take him all day and dont look back. Dont see his skill and size combo very often. Dude already is special. With the durability thing being so big, might be okay since he is more lean and listed at only 236lbs.

As in having 2 lotto picks like Atlanta.

Am I the only one intrigued by Coby White?

Fire away, I like him either way...

I like him. That speed and his overall game pairs well with Sexton. I just saw that this season was his first year playing PG so he has room to grow in that aspect. He is use to playing off and on the ball. The addition ball handling would be a nice add to our starting unit.

I would probably prefer 8 and 10 over #5 in this draft but the Cavs don't have those picks. That still shouldn't stop you from taking the guy you project to be the best 2-3 years from now over the nice steady plug and play starter.

That's the problems though with #4-#10, the known commodity just isn't there. Hunter and White might be the most know commodity but there are still question marks with them. Garland is a complete unknown. I think alot question if Culver can be consistent enough to make an impact. Bol Bol played 9 games before getting injured and guys truly over 7 feet always seem to have problems staying healthy.

Reddish does have alot of question marks but he was highly ranked out of high school and was asked to play off the ball for the first time in his life. Really he fits into this tier of players and the question like everyone else is how well his game translates to the NBA. I think he could be a guy that shows his true game in the NBA that he never showed in college.
That may be true, but it also may be true that a scorer who couldn't crack .357% in college will be just as bad or worse in the NBA. A shit ton of players did much better than that and did so without the luxury of Zion and Barrett drawing defensive attention. Compared to other prospects, Reddish's inability to score at the college level must be factored in rather than ignored behind a list of excuses. I like his defensive potential, but a wing who can't score just isn't lottery material to me.

I really don't understand the fascination some of you have for Cam Reddish. I have doubts that his issues will just magically go away just by letting him handle the ball more. It reminds me of the fascination some had for Dajuan Wagner.

If we could swing Hachimura at #8 while trading down with the Hawks so we get #10 too, I'd be real happy. Hachimura and someone like Cam Reddish could really grow into something with Beilein as our coach.
I just watched some Hachimura highlights and holy shiitake mushrooms! Seems like he can play the post, shoot, and create his own shot for the most part. Me likey.

The shooting % and efficiency are of course a concern but I would hardly call averaging 13.5 ppg as a freshman in the 40 minute college game playing third option next to high usage players like Zion and RJ as having an inability to score.

Some of his best scoring games came against top opponents as well:

22 against UK
18 against Auburn
23 against FSU
22 against Louisville
27 and 23 in two games against UNC
17 points on 10 shots against UVA

To be honest I'm not that fascinated with Cam Reddish. I have him in my top 10 or 11 but he is on the back end of it. There are some numbers saying he is 96 percentile for being a pick and roll player. I think he was asked to be too much of a spot up shooter because Duke didn't have better options. He would be one of the guys I'd pick if we were able to move back and get #8 and #10 from the Hawks.

Reddish has tons of upside, but he is soft. That is the gamble. He lacked intensity and effort at times even in HS. All the other boxes, he checks.

Volume shooting != Scoring Ability

For every good game he had 2-3 bad ones. Apparently, it needs to be pointed out again and again that Reddish was jacking up shots to the tune of .356 FG%. He was essentially Fatoine Walker in a Duke uniform. There's no positive spin for his subpar play whatsoever -- especially with teams game-planning to stop Zion and Barrett.

Drafting him @ 5 would be a huge mistake.

I think he is what you want from a modern SF or small ball PF. I wouldn't be mad if Koby decides he was the best player available at #5.

I'm not sure where exact I would rank him but he is on the higher side of the players likely to go #4-#10. I have White and Hunter up there too. I think Hachimura might have a higher upside than both but his floor is probably a little lower.

The question I have about hachimura is can he add the 3?
