NBA's Top 20 Players Right Now

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Good lord, James Harden is not a better player than Kevin Durant. And neither is Westbrook for that matter. Durant is easily the 2nd best player in the world. The guy has averaged 29/8/5 64 TS% 29 PER .290 WSP48 for the past 5 SEASONS. He's literally putting up numbers that have only been matched by Bron and Jordan. Sure he has his playoff struggles, but he just finished his 8th season. Let us not forget LeBron's reputation after his 8th season(when he lost to the Mavs and was considered the biggest choke artist in the history of the sport). As for the Durant couldn't do what Westbrooks doing, yes he could..because he's already done it. And he did it with a worst supporting cast when Westbrook was injured in 2014. Over at 3 month stretch without Westbrook, he had the Thunder on pace for 60 wins and was averaging 35/8/7 65 TS% 35 PER .355 WSp48.

When people ask me who the best 20 players are right now, i dont care about the PAST 5 SEASONS.

Whatever. I don't really care enough about these debates. People get so into it and almost offended when someone doesn't think a player as good/bad as they do. Westbrook is tossing up 40 point triple doubles and has a usage rate off the friggin chart. I think he's better. If I were starting a team with the sole purpose of winning a title this season, I'd pick Westbrook before Durant. You don't agree. Ok.

And you've got 4 posts on this site, and all of them are quite pro-Warriors and/or pro-Warriors players. So forgive me if I question your objectivity....

Back on topic: Giannis may end at being #2 behind Lebron by the end of the year. Thank god that team can't shoot 3's: you put him on a team with spacing like the Cavs and I'm not sure how you stop him.

Bucks fans must feel like Cavs did during those first few Lebron years.

Giannis has stepped up his game huge this year from last. From a good player to elite, skipping great.

What do you guys think is the reason he mad such a huge leap in year 4 at 22 years old?

Delly? He was ready? Other?

Top players: lbj and durant
3-25 is a crap shoot and interchangeable depending on their weekly performance..

I think the biggest gaffes ever in the Thunder vs Heat finals, was having Durant guard LeBron. That was just stupid. I didn't think the Thunder were going to win that series, but they did so many things to shoot themselves in the foot, which is why it was a quick series for the Heat.

I would going forward too. But as of now, Davis is better.

Based on what? Ppg? I mean ill have to see what giannis can do in the playoffs , but right now imo he is having a better season. Though its tough being in the situation he is in.

Harden guarded LeBron if I recall.

Poor Anthony Davis hasn't had a decent team around him since Kentucky in 2012. The Pelicans have the right coach in place, but it's so tough watching Davis try to beat teams all by himself.

He needs to get out there. He's an exceptional talent. No one can fault him for not getting to the playoffs. That team is a disaster.

If I'm Davis, when I become a free-agent, I'd go to the Bucks. Him, Greek Freak, and Parker. That can be the new super team that can compete. And frankly, that team would terrify me in a few years.

Davis is from Chicago too. Milwaukee isn't too far. I got to think that's a destination he'd be very interested in.

Milwaukee will never have the cap space to do it if they keep signing scrubs to bad long term contracts. Miles Plumlee is just an awful contract and they will probably give a max to Parker and Middleton. But you never know.

Catching up on this thread now, but super disappointed to see so many lists where Kyrie is a tier lower than stick boy #2

That makes zero sense to me. Especially with how many posts in here are making valid critisisms of Stephs game this year

I think a lot of people are scared of being a homer by ranking Kyrie too highly

Game 7 and you've got to pick between Kyrie and steph.

Who you got?

Exactly. So why is it so easily accepted Stephen is a tier up?

Sample size only. Up until the finals, it was pretty hard to deny Steph as the better of two.

But since the finals, including the regular season, I think it's a toss up. But that's not a large sample size either IMO. That's why I still have Steph above him, for now though.

My top-20 isn't just based on this season. Maybe others top-20 is. That's why I'm not putting guys like Westbrook or Harden ahead of Durant. Those two might be MVP candidates, but I don't think they're better than Durant.
