That's one cool thing about Bethesda software. They allow and actually encourage a vibrant modding community, so if players think they can improve a game more to their liking they are given freedom and tools to do it.

Making buggy as fuck games and letting the community fix them for free is the Bethesda way. :chuckle:
 
Brickman and I once played a couple hour session of TF2 using matchmaking and this one guy kept being put on the other team against us. We were just crushing it big time. Absolutely obliterating the other team each game.

This guy just lost his shit and went apeshit on us. For about three games in a row he just kept bitching about us. That guy was so mad to the point that it was hilarious.

I'd say it's about 50/50. Gamers rightfully feel burned quite frequently because developers tend to promise the moon when they can really only deliver about a hundred feet above the ground. You can probably count on one hand the games that actually delivered on everything the developers promised. Of course, gamers tend to take things too far, occasionally threatening the lives of developers they are pissed at, something that is never okay.

I think publishers are often to blame for forcing developers to rush games out the door or not giving them proper funding, but it's usually the developers making outlandish promises that they ultimately can't live up to.
