New TV Series to watch

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Got home from a wedding weekend yesterday and, being hungover as fuck after a four hour drive (it was in Atlanta and I drank about half a bottle of Buffalo Trace at said wedding), the girlfriend and I started watching Sneaky Pete. It's an enjoyable show. Ribisi is great in the con man role, and I love the way basically everything he does is a work of some sort. Cranston is really good too, although he's not on screen very often.

After the girlfriend went home, I started watching Bosch. Really like this one as well. It's been a while since I've found a cop show that reminds me of the two all-time greats in the genre, The Shield and The Wire. I can't say Bosch is as good as either of those shows yet, but it has me hooked.

I watched the first two episodes of bosch a couple days ago. ill probably keep watching it.

Been a slow burn thus far for S3 of Better Call Saul, but last night's episode makes me think the second half of the season could get crazy.

The Son is about 3 episodes in on AMC and I've found it to be enjoyable. It covers a period of time and a place that I've never thought much about, that being south Texas in the early 1900's with flashbacks to the post civil war era. Great acting and production, good story lines. It does a solid job of depicting both sides of racial/cultural tensions and interactions between Anglo and Mexican populations.

I highly recommend it especially for people who enjoy seeing different historical eras portrayed in an informed way.

Just finished the last season of The Wire.

I'm fine with how it ended. It sucked to see Dookie shooting up though. I thought he'd be the kid they showed get out, but I guess that turned out to be Namond. I suppose they had to highlight the overall hopelessness of the neighborhood.

The last season was definitely the weakest, but I thought the end montage of the finale was great.

I'd definitely recommend sticking with it. Once it gets to the meat of the season when they introduce Raynard Waits, it puts the pedal down and never really lets up until the last episode. It kind of reminded me of the really good early seasons of Dexter at times.

Seasons one, two, and four were all great. Three was all right. Everything after four was a fucking disaster, and the finale was the worst finale ever made. Just awful all around.

Yeah, the Lithgow season had its moments. So did the Julia Styles stuff at times. But man oh man... the majority of the last 4 seasons was gutter trash to me. I refuse to acknowledge the finale.

I thought the Lithgow season was great. That was four. Three was the Jimmy Smits season, which wasn't awful but also wasn't great. Pretty much everything else was awful though.

Yeah, the problem with Jimmy Smits is that he's never a character on a show. He's always Jimmy Smits in costume.

Watched the first couple episodes of MST3K The Return on Netflix. The first one was alright, but the 2nd one (Cry Wilderness) was goddamn hilarious.

Watching Legion as more of a binge watch.

I feel like it lost a ton of viewers(myself included) for being really bizarre and difficult to follow with only one episode a week.

Binging it has made it much more clear. Still weird as hell though.
