New TV Series to watch

Been a slow burn thus far for S3 of Better Call Saul, but last night's episode makes me think the second half of the season could get crazy.

I felt like all of S2 was a big setup, constant Easter Eggs, don't remember anyone getting whacked. I agree that Gilligan seems ready to make his move.

Given that it's a prequel, a lot of people can't get whacked. We know Saul, Mike, Gus, and Hector are safe, at least.

Two takeaways from Bosch so far:

1. Lance Reddick hasn't aged a fucking day since The Wire. Dude looks exactly the same, and he's basically playing the same character too! His wife in this one is a definite upgrade, though.

2. Jeri Ryan might be 49, but I'd still hit it.

Interesting fact: Mac's dad from Always Sunny is Detective Crate. I had no idea for the entire first season, but he had an extended scene in season two and I thought his voice was really fucking familiar, so I looked him up. He looks completely different on this show.

I was forced into the same situation but we didn't make it past 3 or 4 episodes. It seemed like a slog. If you (or the gf as it sounds) is looking for a good family-related drama, Parenthood was a much more enjoyable watch.

She already binged that. To be fair to This Is Us, nothing special has gone on (on episode 9), but it's not horrible. She says she liked Parenthood a lot more. I'm cool with letting her have her one sappy show since all the rest of the shows we watch are my choices (GoT, Sillicon Valley, True Detective, Always Sunny, Night Of, Shameless, etc)

Have you guys ever watched VEEP? I think it's one of the funniest shows currently on TV. Pretty gender neutral for the most part....my GF and I both love it.

LA 92 is excellent

Documentary about the LA riots. I don't remember much of this, some of the footage is unreal
