New TV Series to watch

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
How much everyone fucks os so unrealistic.

Kev fucks 22 girls in like A week, lip is banging all his teachers or something. Fiona is in love with someone new evwry week with no downtime
Jesus

As far as I can recall, Lip only bangs one of his teachers, and it's a teacher who is in an open relationship with her husband.

The Kev thing was a little ridiculous, but the whole show kind of exists in a slightly alternate reality where everything is exaggerated.

Right i get that. Its just a struggle to takenthe characters serious ly and suspend disbelief this much simultaneously. Like, thank god jim Steve is gone.

Did lip bang the tutor or no?

The professor is still unrealistic. Iy just is. And was it her that secretly paid his tuition that semester?

I don't remember the tutor at all.

Not sure about the tuition either. It's been a while since I've seen most of these episodes. I think it was his alcoholic professor who got someone to pay it for Lip. And I think that makes a lot more sense, as there's clearly a sort of father/son relationship there. The guy fucked up his relationship with his real family and so he's kind of getting a chance to relive that through Lip.

Ok chuckie got good.

Where did his mom go though?

6.08

Chuckie just gave a speech on hitler and debbie harry is fucking frank

Spoilers here for anyone who hasn't seen Shameless...

His mom is in jail I think for trying to kill Ian's former boyfriend who is also in jail for trying to kill her.

Kevin is gigantic. 6'4 and massive.

He looked like shit at the eta of the show. Transformation was incredible

So @David., just finished season 1 of The Leftovers.

Holy shit.

Just unbelievable. Can't remember the last time I was this emotionally invested in a show this quickly. Agonizing, heartbreaking, painful and yet somehow oh so beautiful. That piano that underscores the series evokes such powerful emotion as well.

Lindeoff also corrected his biggest error from "Lost" - allowing the audience to care more about the mystery than the characters. He's also far more subtle in his use of symbolism and uses it to greater effect. It's clear his storytelling has matured substantially.

I love that the incident on October 14 takes a backseat as each episode familiarizes us with the desolate despair the traumatic event has caused on the remainder of the population.

Can't wait to start season 2 now!

It only gets better, my friend. The 2nd season is the best, IMO. Lindelof establishes comfortable footing from the onset and dives much deeper. Still the most original storytelling i've seen on TV. I am jealous that you get to experience it for the first time.

Is anyone else intrigued by The Deuce? Terrible name but looks like it'll be a good watch. Huge Boogie Nights fan so seeing the same industry portrayed during roughly the same time period on the East Coast has me intrigued.

I've been lucky enough to watch most of the greats for the first time after their production run (Sopranos, Breaking Bad, Mad Men, Sons of Anarchy etc). There's just something special about being able to watch a show you a) already know is great and b) you know what you're in for by way of episodes and length. Love being able to read instant, spoiler-free recaps online after each episode as well.

I have The Deuce penciled into my calendar. Great cast (including a now recognizable Emily Meade from The Leftovers) and solid scriptwriters. Plus, it's not often that HBO screws up period dramas smothered in illicit debauchery so my expectations by default are pretty high.

It's a David Simon show, so it's already must-watch for me. He has yet to make something as good as The Wire, but nothing he's made is bad.
