New TV Series to watch

So @David., just finished season 1 of The Leftovers.

Holy shit.

Just unbelievable. Can't remember the last time I was this emotionally invested in a show this quickly. Agonizing, heartbreaking, painful and yet somehow oh so beautiful. That piano that underscores the series evokes such powerful emotion as well.

Lindeoff also corrected his biggest error from "Lost" - allowing the audience to care more about the mystery than the characters. He's also far more subtle in his use of symbolism and uses it to greater effect. It's clear his storytelling has matured substantially.

I love that the incident on October 14 takes a backseat as each episode familiarizes us with the desolate despair the traumatic event has caused on the remainder of the population.

Can't wait to start season 2 now!

All downhill from here. Season 2 is the best thing youll watch. Several episodes in 3 are just incredible.

Twin Peaks. Enough said.

Even though Twin Peaks can be very dark and disturbing, I actually find a lot of it uplifting too.

Just the mood of the town folks is charming. A lot of dark humor in it too.

Twin Peaks always improves my mood.

Working through season 1. Pretty accurate. Someone who actually did a lot of sales was involved in the writing

Four episodes in and I'm really enjoying The Defenders.

Jessica Jones has been great in this. "Jesus, am I the only one left who doesn't know karate?"

Defenders was fun. Had some good moments and some meh moments.

Sorta disappointed in the Sigourney Weaver character. Was hoping she would be more impactful/powerful.
