New TV Series to watch

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I feel like she was back to being fairly likable again by mid-season. It crazy how I use to hate the Frank's storylines in the first couple seasons and now they are some of the more interesting ones. For me Frank is way more likable now. I hate the direction the storyline for Debs from the last two or three seasons. Ian, Lip, and Carl feel like they were almost in a holding pattern storywise in season 8.
Deb is awful. Beyond awful

Everyone included in the bar was ok

Ian is awful

Lip is the only thing holding my attention. The only reason Fiona was bearable was because Ian is that much worse. Frank was good. The refugee thing was a bore

The stuff with her foot was the most odd story arc I've ever seen in TV. It truely made no sense to add that into the season. It didn't seem to have a lesson or pay off connected to it.

I agree Lip is basically the glue of the show now. It use to be Fiona but Lip seems more involved with everyone else.

Worst part of the show, by far. Especially once the baby drama started. Good god. Just a horrible plotline.
Did they even address her leaving th guy in the wheelchair after cheating on him?

Yea they did.

He kicked Debs out because he got with his nurse. It wasn't directly connected to her cheating but her leaving him with the kid all the time was the underlying cause.

It's sooooo good. I watched it on Netflix back in like, 2011 my last year of college. Was glued to my screen for a week straight.

Not the greatest effects or anything but everything else is pretty top notch. Thinking about grabbing the Blu Ray and doing a rewatch.

Battlestar Galactica (mid 2000s remake) is hands down one of the greatest tv shows I’ve ever seen. And it’s not just me - it makes most lists of greatest all time tv shows. Alan Sepinwall even included it in his book about the ten shows of the Golden Age of TV, alongside giants such as The Wire, Breaking Bad, and The Sopranos. It’s one of the most addictive shows I’ve seen, with an incredible ability to be both enthralling as you’re watching it while addressing complex philosophical and political issues. It’s absolutely worth of a rewatch and I’m jealous of anyone who gets to experience it for the first time.

Fuck Fiona, and fuck Deb too. Both are awful characters. I feel bad for Lip. He would be so much better off it he would just ditch his shitty family and go off on his own. They're dragging him down.

Yea but they need him, and he cares about them.

I'm glad "so cool" lip is dead.

Ive always liked Fiona so even when she goes nuts, I'm hoping she will redeem herself and the situation. Debs has been annoying from the beginning though. She hasn't grown up as person. I think the prime example of how horrible of a person Debs is, is in one of the early episodes this season. When she was working at the garage as the attendant, you see her in booth and you think she is by herself. Then she finishes her conversation and gathers her stuff, we see her pick up Franny from a dog cage. You realize that since Debs couldn't find a sitter she decides to just keep Franny in a dog cage on the floor for her whole shift. It's so quick and slight that I don't know how many people actually noticed it.

I'd put it a notch below The Wire, The Shield, and Breaking Bad, which are my picks for the best three TV shows ever made. No shame in being on tier two, though. That still makes it on of the five to ten best shows ever.

That’s about exactly where I would rank it (a notch below BB and The Wire but better than just about everything else I’ve seen).

As an aside, The Wire is on Amazon prime. And I recently started rewatching it. Got through the first two seasons and holy shit The Wire is a masterpiece. It’s perfectly cast and I’ve never watched a better written show. If you are a fan of The Wire I also recommend Jonathan Abrams’ book “All the Pieces Matter” which gives firsthand accounts of how the show was made from all the actors, writers, directors, etc. who were involved in the show. I was constantly shocked reading that book how much of what happened in The Wire came straight from real life events.
